The lifts installed easily and quickly. Our Town and Country minivan rear gate works like new again. The local auto parts store wanted over $200.00 for replacement lifts. If you need assistance to install there are a couple of you tube videos that are instructional. Just a flat but screw driver is needed to pop the existing holding clips.

I thought I had saved some money by buying these, but I didn't. They're dangerous. They seemed to work fine until I opened my back lift gate one day and one popped off the top ball socket sending the heavy door crashing down and shattering my entire back window. I got the window fixed and used some pilers to tighten the retaining clips. I thought, maybe I dropped the ball on the install and didn't clip them in completely? I did not drop the ball, it is a complete design flaw and it is dangerous. My friend caught the door the second time one of the clips malfunctioned with his head. He didn’t have any serious injury, but I have small children and the weight of the door is a very serious thing to consider. It shattered the window, and when I say shattered, I mean the window was completely gone except the parts that were glued to the frame. As I wait for the OEM parts to arrive, I have noticed that the automatic lift is starting to malfunction too. I have read that this is because the lift struts are not properly calibrated to the lift. They seem to be stronger causing the lift to shoot up and bounce, and the bounce leads to the retaining rings not being able to hold on because the bounce is so strong. Yes, the are $70 cheaper then the OEM, but they cost me a $250 deductible and another $125 for the new struts - not to mention my friends bonk on the head. Please do yourself a favor and avoid these. They are dangerous.

One of the gas strut seals on the hatch of my caravan let go. I went to the dealer figuring that it was under warranty cause I had the extended warranty and it was not covered and they wanted $75 for one strut. I checked it out here on amazon and I found these at a great price for 2. (Bout half of 1 from the dealer) easy install and actually stronger than the manufacturer ones.

Very good product for the money. Fit right on. Watch out out for your face when you open the door itself, they are very high pressure and I am afraid they will take the door off one day if I dont hold it while it goes up.

Installed easily on my 2013 Town & Country. They work quite well. There is no noticeable difference between these compared to the factory rods until the temp outside drops to 15 degrees F or lower. Even then, they still help lift the door most of the way. Considering they are a fraction of the cost of one rod from the dealership, I'd say they are very much worth the price. I would not hesitate to but these again if necessary.

Same product for 1/4 the cost of auto parts store. Two minute install. Works great.

Easy-peasy to install. Support hatch, loosen clips, pop old unit off, pop new unit on. No I don't smack my head when the hatch slowly lowers!
