Great game!
An easy solitaire game that is a lot of fun!

It’s a good way to play solitaire during shut-in days. Nicely designed and produced.
I have enjoyed playing the game. Biggest downside is that the scenarios are a bit ‘same-y.’ Wish there was more variety, but the battle of Waterloo was not a campaign but a single battle. So that does limit the variety of the game. But overall I enjoyed it. I copied the map pages and played the game on the copies so that I could preserve the game for either another play-through or give/sell the book to someone else to enjoy.

Easy to pick up
I typically am not a fan of chucking dice and hoping for good results. But with this one, you at least have the option of making the best of what you have...which I think aligns with a military theme.Fairly easy once you read the rules and play a quick turn or two. I'd recommend getting a sleeve and using an erasable marker so you have more re-playability.

Not bad but highly depends on luck and is not 24 games
This game isn't bad but calling it 24 games is very misleading. This is essentially 6 variations of the same game. Each of the 6 variations has 4 game sheets, so there are 24 total game sheets but it is really only 6 variations of the same game. The game is fun but it is very much dependent on luck. You will spend most of your time replaying variations because a handful of bad dice rolls cost you the game, and after having that happen a few times in a row it starts to get old. I wouldn't say there's a lot of replay-ability here, even among variations they are just too similar to be very interesting. You just need to know what you're getting into with this, it's not bad, but it's a game you'll pull out and spend 15 minutes playing a variation every once in a while then put it up and forget it for a while.

Good game but a bit expensive
Game is quite good but a bit expensive if you compare it with a full board game (with a gameboard, pieces, cards, etc.)

A unique take on wargaming.
The matches appear the same. Easy to learn rules. More strategic than I expected. The bot actions can be wonky at times. Other times, the bot ruins your plans. I like it, and will order other titles as they become available.

It works!
Suggest photocopying the maps for multiple uses. You will enjoy how the author has devised a mechanic for the AI opponent. While you may play the same scenario multiple times, none will be exactly the same due to many possibilities of the AI. Recommended.

Poor quality control. Seems like fun.
It seems like fun, but my copy was sliced wrong at the printer and the instruction pages are unreadable.I’ve got a replacement coming, but it’s really off putting to have to pack up and return a paperback book with fewer pages than a kids magazine. For thirty bucks, hopefully other books in this series have better quality control.Again, otherwise, from the rules I could read and the quick look over I gave it, it seems interesting and a nice experience.

A game that you can take anywhere.
I was very pleasantly surprised by Waterloo Solitaire. It's a book style game that has a number of scenarios for both the French and British/Prussians. The book has the same map for each of the French side scenarios and then another for British/Prussian. You only need a couple of dice and a pencil to play the game. If this makes the game sound rather simplistic them you will find that actually a lot of tactical thinking is required, with each scenarios victory conditions becoming progressively more difficult. This game can be taken quite literally anywhere and if you photocopy one of the French and British maps and put them in a clear plastic pocket, you can use a wipe off marker pen to draw with, meaning you can play the game an infinite number of times.Highly recommended.

Solid solo game
Nice solitaire dice game where you can enact both sides at Waterloo, in increasingly difficult scenarios. The paper is lowish quality so erasing pencil also remove the ink, but by the time you finish the book, you will have explored all this has to offer.
