For the intended purpose they work well
For the intended task of handling hot messy foods by hand, the product works well. If you have to use them in a smoker to handle a Brisket that's been in there for 15 hours at over 200 degrees, they work without any heat to the hands. Afterwards, washing them is also a very easy task. As others have stated, getting these gloves on and off isn't easy. You need an assistant or maybe you'll have to use your mouth which in far from ideal. These are not intended nor useful as a substitute for a pot holder or a glove that one could use on a surface that will not get greasy and messy as would be the case actually handling hot foods. I think my hands are probably average in size for an adult male, they fit OK but I could see that if you have large hands, this could be problematic. One size doesn't fit all. That said, IF you can fit into the glove and your goal is to handle hot and messy foods only, they do the job very well.

A SINGLE Glove, Works OK
Please be advised that this comes with only one glove. It may have been my misreading, but there is a photo showing two gloves side by side. This led me to believe there are two gloves included with this.Single gloved-ness aside, I purchased this to use for boiling crawfish and brewing beer. Given that water boils at approximately 212* F and my hand got rather hot while in it only momentarily, I would highly recommend avoiding using this for prolonged periods of time in any warmer environment (smoker, grill, etc). If it's just for handling tongs or a spatula or for something of those sorts, feel free. Some people seem to have issues putting this on or taking it off. Either they have monstrous hands or I have tiny ones, as I never really had an issue. What I did have an issue with was hands cramping when having them in the glove for an extended period of time. The fingers are definitely "short," surely to avoid having extra finger material hanging out for those with short fingers. My assumption is that this is what caused the cramping.Overall, I probably would not purchase this item again for my purposes but see how it could be helpful for some on a short-term basis.

Just what I needed
I bought these, then put them away and forgot I had them. So I used them for the first time today. I roasted a chicken in a halogen oven today. You first have to cook it for 45 minutes breast side down. Then, you need to turn the chicken breast side up and roast another 45 minutes or until done. I was hunting for utensils to use to turn the chicken when I came across the 2 silicone gloves I had bought. I opened the top of the halogen oven, and then put one glove on each hand. I was able to reach in with the back of my hands touching the very hot glass walls of the oven, pick up the chicken, turn it over, and place it back in the oven. I felt no heat whatsoever on my hands. I then went to the kitchen sink with the gloves on. I turned on the hot water, put a little dish soap on the gloves, washed them off, rinsed them and dried them with the kitchen towel. Then I took them off and placed them back in the drawer. I replaced the top on the oven and turned it back on. Worked great and easy clean up.

Grill Glove
I bought a smoker for Christmas and needed something to use to be able to "pull" pork shoulders and butts apart with after smoking. Bought a pair of these to do that with. These work pretty well but they still do transfer a good amount of heat through them but nowhere near as hot as not having them. They could also be a little more flexible in the finger joints as after about 15 minutes you find yourself really working to bend them.

A replacement to oven mitts
I was tired of oven mitts that needed to be washed because a finger had dipped into the food while getting a dish out of the oven. I also recommend these for turning shish kabobs (or whatever else) on the grill. This was a great solution. I ordered both this & the Charcoal Companion silicone Mitt. I prefer the mitt, but occasionally you need to get both hands in there & one of each offers me more flexibility so I'm pretty happy with the glove also.

For the yucky, messy jobs it's tops.
If you have a hot and messy food job this is the tool you need. We bought this for my husband to use with his smoked meat. But let me tell you how great it worked on pulling the meat off the turkey carcass for turkey soup and for pulling apart a crock pot simmered pork shoulder for fajitas. My hands stayed perfectly clean and comfortable. When I was done I stood it up in the dishwasher and it comes out perfectly clean. I also used the glove when I bottled jam. It held the hot mason jars firm and my hands were cozy while I tightened the rings on the bottles. The seller was prompt and it came well packaged thank-you.

Way too small for Man hands.
Although I read the reviews about the gloves being too small for men, I thought maybe they were just abnormally big guys, so I purchased them for my husband who is average weight and height, but they are really too small for him. He had a hard time getting them off. Unless they change the size on the "one size fits all", these are really for women. They fit me perfect, but I don't do the grilling.

Really 'handy'
This glove is pretty great. No, it's not heat-proof. You can flip burgers and brats on the grill with your gloved hand no problem, but the heat will build up on you, so be careful. Still, it didn't melt or burn on me at all, and it has great grip. Only thing is it's really thick silicone rubber, so your hand can get pretty tired when gripping things because of the resistance. But I still recommend it.
