I have owned a large number of kitchen sheers in my time. For many years, I have been a Cutco user, but had to send them off to be sharpened. Since I can't live without kitchen sheers, I ordered these. Wow, was I surprised!They are very sharp, not heavy, and have great action. Note that they even have a set of teeth for twist caps that always seem to get 'stuck" in my house.Apparently, there had been a bit of a mix-up with prior fulfillment, since I received an email from the Manufacturer, who guaranteed if I received the wrong pair of scissors, they would correct the problem. Now that's customer satisfaction!The only reason I did not give these 5 stars on the Easy to Clean scale is that the blades don't appear to come apart, so there is a possibility for food/gunk to build up at the hinge.All told, very satisfied, and these could be my new gift for friends and family.

I purchased these shears because of the product description and customer reviews. I like the idea of take apart shears just for the cleaning aspect; However, I have found that they wear and will eventually be unable to cut anything because they have become so loose at the connection that they only fold or bind anything being cut. The Gerior kitchen shears were received well packed and straight out of the box cut anything I could find. Being stainless steal and I can throw them in the dishwasher I am very confident of cleanliness. If I am going to be cutting different food types (Chicken, Vegies, etc.),I only have to run them under the hot water from the kitchen faucet for a short time then continue my preparations. I really believe that due to the quality, heavy duty construction I will not have to deal with loose sloppy fitting shears. Highly recommend for anyone wanting shears that do the job not and long into the future.

I bought these to replace a pair of kitchen shears I'd been using and have so far (one week) been very satisfied with them. Obviously, I cannot judge their durability yet but they seem sturdy enough. I had a problem with the other shears --a handle broke off-- but this pair's handles seem sturdy. They are VERY easy to use and certainly sharp enough. They are also compact and light weight, qualities I appreciate as well. I have never put shears in the dishwasher so do not expect rust to be a problem. And at under $11, the price is right.

I love the beautiful, modern design. The strong handles are white on black, easy to grip. One side of the scissor blades can be used for opening bottles. In between the grip handles there are steel teeth that can be used for opening jars, or almost anything with a small lid. This is an amazing tool for adults to use except for children as the blades are quite sharp! The sharp blades make it easy for cutting all types of your favorite meat, fish, and poultry. I highly recommend these Gerior Stainless Steel Kitchen scissors. What a great gift for family and friends!

Great for cutting up poultry. Smooth operation, easy to maneuver though joints. Strong enough to cut through bone, and still have stayed sharp. They come in a nice box too. I gave a pair as a gift recently.

I really like these shears to cut up meats and fish. I use the shears to cut chicken breasts into smaller chunks prior to cooking and to cut large salmon fillets from Costco into individual serving sizes prior to freezing. They are also handy for cutting steak into cubes to make shish kebab. The shears make nice clean cuts with minimal effort. I have had them for over a year and they still perform like new. If I were starting over in a brand new kitchen these shears would be one of the first things I would purchase.

Great scissors at a great price! They feel nice and sturdy unlike the cheap pair that came with my knife set. They're sharp and easy to use. Not sure about how they hold up in the dishwasher. I would reccomend hand washing to keep them sharp as hot water can cause blades to dull.

I use cooking shears to cut my chicken and also to cut my ribs. I have tried all types of shears and they only last a very short time. These are more durable than the ones I have purchased in the past and I truly like them. I can also use it as a bottle opener and a crab at nut cracker in which I have used for both. These are by far the best that I have ever had and will purchase a back up pair.
