Greenbrier3½" Glass Prep Bowls, 4-ct. Set

Firstly, I absolutely love these and will probably buy more of them (and if they come in other sides, probably some of those as well.) I love using these to weight out small amounts of additives for some of my formulas, like gums with glycerin, testing out a scent, or portioning out colour.They can be used in a makeshift double boiler, and I do that with small batches fairly frequently.The only things I don't like are:One of them chipped in the corner out of nowhere! It might actually have been chipped upon arrival, I didn't really check them when I opened them, but it happened before I ever used it. It's not a HUGE problem, but it does sometimes catch things.Second, and much larger problem, the ridge on the top can collect product, and it can be hard to get the product off. This doesn't happen frequently because I usually don't have enough product in there to reach the ridge, even with stirring, but with very small (7 gram) batches, it can be a real hassle.

The media could not be loaded.  Gorgeous glass bowls! Perfect for facial masks. I’m in esthetic school & didn’t like the typical plastic bowls. I wanted something clean, simple & small. These work perfectly. They’re light weight but thick enough that they won’t chip easily.

They arrived within the time that was expected. They were not broken and packaged well.

works perfect for a small serving of salsa, duck sauce for your eggroll, a small portion of jelly beans. When cooking it also works great for pre measuring items for a recipe. Fits nicely on top rack of dishwasher.

Bowls are good quality but 2 of the 4 bowls came broken!

I've been looking for these things for years. The chefs on television use them and they're a lot lower profile on my counter top than the cups and dinner bowls I've been using.The one thing I'm not happy about in my purchase was that one of the bowls was chipped. Not broken, fortunately; just chipped. And I had to give a lower rating for durability because of that. Packaging seemed like it was sturdy enough. I honestly can't tell rather this was due to the local shipping or the out of state facility. Either way, its at least worth mentioning. Nobody wants to open a package for a damaged product.This could be irksome if I needed them for a cooking show and wanted to look as professional as possible. But it's still ideal for what I need.

Some reviewers complained that the mini bowls are too fragile. So are fine wine glasses. Years ago I used similar bowls made by another, well known manufacturer. They were made of rather thin glass with slightly ruffly edges, and I loved them. I used them all the time for many purposes. But when I tried to replace the ones that fell from my clumsy hands onto the hard floor, that same manufacturer had replaced them with thick, clunky glass. I hated them. Some years back, I reluctantly purchased a mini-bowl 4-pack from a coworker whose kid was selling them to raise funds. They were made of thin glass, which I prefer, and the edges were straight. I loved them. I recently dropped and broke one. I looked on Amazon's site to see if they might be available, and they were! One *was* broken in transit, so, yes, they may be considered fragile. But simply contacting the powers that be made everything right. If I break a few more, I'll order more.

I love these prep bowls! I prep as much as possible before I start to cook. These are the perfect size for small ingredients. I use them for minced garlic, zest, herbs....anything in small amounts. They also would be the perfect size for condiments. As soon as I'm done, I just rinse them out and put them in the dishwasher. They come perfectly clean. When I received them, there was a tiny chip. I called and they immediately sent me a new set. So great customer service too! I definitely recommend!
