Xvive U2 Wireless Guitar System Rechargeable 2.4GHz Guitar Wireless Transmitter and Receiver for Electric Guitar Bass

I am not fond of guitar cables. They are always in the way, get stepped on, get accidentally unplugged, and need to be put away when done. Most reviewers of this product on YouTube are are great teachers and players but they are old fashioned. They love their cables. I have been using wireless for 4 years so here is my take on it. Line 6 G30 About 4 years ago I bought a Line 6 G30 wireless setup for my guitar. Things I liked: * Worked great * Replaceable batteries Things I didn’t like: * I either had to wear it on my belt. (Really didn’t like that) * or * I had to attach it to a guitar strap. * (Means I had to wear a strap even when sitting down in my practice room. If I wanted to switch guitars, I had to transfer the strap. * Still needs a short cable. * Had to remember to turn off the power switch on transmitter or it would eat batteries Line 6 G10 About a year ago I bought a line 6 G10. Things I liked: * Works great. * Transmitter plugs directly into guitar. * Turns on when plugged in. * Turns off when unplugged or no music detected for some period of time. * Charge by plugging into the receiver. Things I didn’t like: * Can’t change the battery. * Receiver is not battery operated * Transmitter protrudes a bit far when plugged in to most guitars. (Works nicely on Strats) Xvive U2 Received it today. Things I liked: * Transmitter and receiver are battery operated. (No wires or cables, Yay) * Unit can fold forward or backward to avoid protruding too far. * Very light. Things I didn’t like: * Have to turn on both units. * Have to remember to turn off both units. * Can’t replace the battery. * Not as easy to charge as the Line 6 G10. (Have to plug in transmitter and receiver to USB cable) Conclusion All of the units I have owned performed their primary function well. That is they allowed me to go wireless. What I would like to see: * The form factor of the Xvive U2 * Replaceable batteries so I could get up and running quickly in the middle of a gig. * The intelligence of the Line 6 G10. * Shuts off after a few minutes of inactivity. * Turns on when plugged in and turns off when unplugged * A charging station that uses 1/4” jacks for charging instead of a separate USB plug. (Like the G10) 2/26/2018 I've been using the Xvive U2 for a few days now in my home in the same room as my WiFi router and have had absolutely no problems. I'll be taking these with me when I go to a friends house to jam and when I go to my music lessons. My teacher always has cables that need repair or are too short. The Xvive U2 should solve those problems.

Excellent product

Ok, so I originally purchased the Xvive U2 and was really disappointed as noted in my first review below. However, I was truly amazed when the manufacture contacted me directly within a day of posting my review. Turns out these folks are relentless about their product. I believe they were more bummed than me. So without hesitation they sent me a new unit to try. Turns out the original unit I received was defective. As soon as I plugged in the replacement unit, I was ecstatic. The tone was remarkable. I couldn't notice a difference between the wireless and wired. I went back and forth between wireless and wired to make sure I wasn't just hearing what I wanted to. Anyway, I received the unit on Friday and gigged the weekend. Wow! I never had a wireless unit before and simply had one of the best gigs ever. The freedom to move about and even join the crowd on the dance floor. Freaking awesome! With that said, I'm giving this unit a Five (5) star review and would definitely recommend the product. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the service; these people stand behind their product. I had read multiple reviews of wireless systems and ultimately settled on the Xvive U2. The positive... Sight to sight signal was exceptional, battery life very good. The negative... The tome of the guitar was altered. There was a high frequency resonance added which made the guitar tone very nasally. I used a Fender Strat and a Carvin SC 90S through a Line 6 Flextone II XL and Fender Champion 100. Regardless of the combination the sound was compromised. To be fair, I made multiple comparisons going back and forth between the Xvive and using a cable. Every time, the same result; nasally tone. It's unfortunate since I like the discreet profile of the unit. Ultimately I ended up returning it after two weeks. For the players that have had good success; that's great, however I'm unable to recommend this product.

I have 3 sets of these that I bought about a week apart at the start of Sept 2021. They have worked pretty well for the most part. I noticed one pair I used at an offsite rehearsal studio sometimes had some interference/dropout. I think it may have been either equipment in the next room or the wifi network but never quite figured that out. Mostly I used these for home woodshedding and they have been flawless for that. 20 months in, 1 set has died. More specifically, the transmitter has died. The receiver still works with the transmitter from another set. I suspect the battery has reached the end of it's useful life. It still produces audio, but it's faint and noisy. It still pairs and if you crank the amp there is an audio signal, but not a usable one. At lower volume it's not audible. I mailed support to inquire about the warrantly length which is 12 months. And to ask if there is a paid repair option or or paid battery replacement option. I got a timely reponse the next day. But there isn't any repair option, even paid. I sent a couple of follow up emails inquiring about the typical behavior as the system battery reaches end of life...does it just die, does the audio go first, then the LED's, does it just not take a charge anymore? Seems like mine still charges, the LED's stay on the audio signal is just weak. So it's possible it's something else failing in the circuit, but my guess is this is just the first battery to no longer produce the right voltage despite being "charged", and no longer be able to drive the audio circuit. I'll update my review when I hear back, or if I don't...as well. I get it that a lot of things with lithium ion batteries are just "disposable" when the life ends. But -1 star on value for not making the battery easily replaceable. I'll say this. I had a cheap $45 set of these and they were so bad with interference and poor coupling and dropouts that I aksed for their "money back guarantee". That vendor (not XVIVE) gave me the runaround and in the end I had to open a paypal case to get my money back. There was none of that with these XVIVES. The product worked well for the most part. I'm a little dissapointed in a less than 2 year life of the battery on one transmitter (if that's what the problem is). I will wait to hear back about typical behavior of the system. I considered just buying a replacement transmitter which is readily available on amazon for $85, but if all the other batteries are going to start dying pretty soon, or even if the just the receiver of this set does, it doesn't make sense to buy a new transmitter. I'll probably just keep using the ones that work, and maybe hack the non-working one open and see if I can replace the battery even though it's not designed for it. In the end, I doubt I'd keep buying more if they only last less than 2 years, but we'll see how the other 2 sets hold up. I might just go back to the old reliable, high value CABLE. Wireless is ok, but I don't move around that much so a cable works ok too.

The price was just right for me to take the leap. I was looking for a simple and economical wireless solution that I could use around the house and take to jams. I'd owned some awful more expensive wireless guitar systems in the past and I've watched others struggle with theirs but that was a long time ago and Moore's law, etc. The unboxing experience was nice. Setup was simple. The usefulness was deplorable. It sounded like a Fender tremolo with a bad opto that couldn't be shut off. Imagine, if you will, possessing a Wi-Fi network in your very own home. Perhaps some of you reading this even have one in your own home. Does it run on the 2.4GHz band? Yes, it almost certainly it does. No problem. Just follow the same steps that I did. Switch off that ubiquitous 2.4GHz network and start using your 5GHz Wi-Fi exclusively because, like me, you had the foresight to purchase a router that can do this and you know how. Now discover that your U2 suddenly works awesome. I love this thing! Rock (or swing, as you prefer) around the living room. While duck-walking down the hallway playing Chuck Berry's "It's My Own Business" (the Duke Robillard & the Pleasure Kings version, of course), discover that your new IP thermostat is throwing error messages because it only connects to 2.4GHz networks. Consider that everyplace you are thinking of using this thing will have a 2.4GHz guest Wi-Fi network. Return guitar to resting place and sit on sofa weighing the devices in your hands while gazing wistfully at them for a moment or two and then acknowledge that the thermostat gets to stay. Carefully place the transmitter, receiver, charging cord, and pamphlet back into the box and return to Amazon for a refund. Wait to read the next review written by someone who noticed the the seals on their box had been previously opened.

I received this for Christmas (by request) to use with my electronic accordion (after a bandmate stepped on my cable last summer and damaged the accordion's output jack). I've been practicing with it and have been impressed with the quality of the sound, but last night was my first opportunity to try it out on a real gig. It worked great! It was liberating -- no longer had to worry about getting my feet tangled in my cable while dancing around the stage. I'd been a bit worried about impacting the transmitter as I switched back and forth between accordion and piano, but that didn't turn out to be a problem. Battery life seems good -- I was able to do several days' worth of 2-hour practice sessions between charges. I've only noticed one minor issue. The red light on each unit is supposed to blink when the battery needs recharging. My receiver works correctly, but my transmitter blinks constantly, even when it is fully charged. As long as I make sure the units are fully charged before a gig that shouldn't be an issue.

Has worked well on my guitars, Agile 3000MCC, Epiphone Special-II LE, and Mitchell Acoustic MO120 no obvious sound degrading or distortion. I’ve used this device for several weeks for almost 4 hours each time with charge remaining, and the range has been excellent even through walls. I will be using it almost every day for an average of 3.5 hours or more each time, so one of my concerns is the life expectancy of the internal batteries. If batteries last for 3 years (they're not replaceable), the unit I feel is cost effective. The unit has a one year warrantee so the prospect is good that batteries will last. Should batteries fall short of expectation I will adjust my review at a later date. Although I think the physical design could be better the unit profile is better than most other units available. My guitars have input jacks located on body and a unit that protrudes straight out is at risk of being snacked off so the fact this unit can be curved a bit is a plus. Had issue trying to register unit on the manufacture’s site, but receive email I will receive assistance after New Year (China) holiday. This unit is pricier than others, but the performance so far has been excellent and good reviews seem to justify the higher cost

The Xvive U2 is far and away the best of the wireless systems I've used over the past 20 years. I'm a gigging musician, averaging around 60 shows a year. I primarily play small clubs that hold up to 250 people, with a few outdoor shows mixed in. The Xvive has worked perfectly at every single venue for the last two years. I don't generally get more than 200 feet away from the receiver, but I've never experienced signal interruption either via distance, or getting stepped on by another system. Most of our shows last 4 hours, and the battery has never run out. I love the 20 second setup time, and the units fully recharge in about 15 minutes when plugged into a PC or battery pack via the included USB cable. I had given up on wireless for awhile because the other units I've owned had various issues, but I run sound in addition to performing on stage in this band, and you just can't do a soundcheck while cabled to an amplifier. The tone, quality, and durability have all exceeded my expectations. And it's great not having to find somewhere to clip on the transmitting unit! Brilliant design!

一年に2、3本シールドをダメにするのでいっその事ワイヤレスにしようと考えて購入。コスパ面では最高と言ってもいいかもしれません。 良い点 当たり前ですがワイヤレスなので煩わしさが無い。暴れられる。 ノイズは気にならない程度(テレキャスターのリアで)。多分ピックアップノイズの可能性もあるので、エレキの特性の問題かと。 テレの奥まったジャックにもちゃんとささる。逆にレスポール等だと飛び出ますが、本体の角度を変えられるので気にする事はありません。テレキャスやストラトでの使用を前提にしてるのでは？と思うぐらいフィットします。フェンダーキチとしては嬉しいです(勝手な思い込み) 扱いが楽。レシーバーから電源を入れてボタンを押すと青のLEDが光る。光る回数がch数です。次にギター側を電源入れてレシーバーの青LEDが点灯するまでボタンを押す。終わり。一度設定すればレシーバーから電源を入れる事さえ気をつければすぐ使えます。4chあるのでバンドでかぶっても安心。 音の遅れも気になりません。よーく聴いてると遅れてる？かな？んーどうだろう？というレベル。この値段では画期的なのでは？ とにかく省スペース。エフェクターボードの邪魔には全くなりません。L字型のパッチケーブルの金属部分(なんて言うんでしょうか)に少しスペースが追加される程度です。他のものは小さくてもコンパクトエフェクターサイズですがそれの半分以下です。悪く言えばチャチいですw 不安な点 電池の交換はサポセン頼り。多分電池がダメになったら買い直した方が早いでしょう。連続使用時間は5時間程度とありますが、もう少し短いです。ただスマホの外部バッテリーでも使用できるので、ポケットに外部バッテリー→USBケーブル→ギター側という技が使えますw まあ試してませんが。 可動部がプラスチック。錆びる心配はありませんが割れて使えなくなるかもしれません。大切にそっと動かして角度を変えましょう。少し重いので力を加え過ぎずにでも動く程度に。シールドの煩わしさから解放される対価だと思えば安いものです。 スイッチが軽い。簡単に入ります。オフにしたつもりがオンのまま電池切れしてました。ただオフにはしにくいので、使用する分には問題ありません。 エレキであれば絶対にオススメできる一点です。まあクリーンで弾く、もしくはエレアコ等を弾く場合少しノイズが気になる人はいるかもしれませんが、ノイズリダクション挟むか周りの電化製品から離すとか(一応自分の環境はBluetoothもWi-Fiも携帯も無線キーボードも、さらにアンプもフェンダーマスタングGTにしたので無線飛び放題ですw でも気になりません。シングルコイルPUギターの宿命だと割り切ってます。ちなみにハムバッカーなら何の問題もないです。)何かしら軽く対策すればいいかもと思います。 長々と書きましたが、一年でダメにしてきたシールド代を考えると画期的商品だと思います。他のメーカーからこのサイズでさらに高品質な製品が出てくる事を期待します。ただ当分はこの製品を私は使い続けていきたいと思います。

I have been using it for more than 1 year and it is working very good.

I just received this week. ($201 Canadian to my door) Shipped from PA SHOP London Ont and was packaged well and came earlier than expected.Product was extremely easy to setup and had no interference issues others have posted. I used it at my church with no issues. One complaint the USB to dual Micro USB charge cable was defective on one of the micro USB(an inexpensive replacement) My setup was an older acoustic guitar with Fishmen Problend on-board pickup (mic and under saddle combo) to a JDI Radial passive DI box to the churches phantom powered PA. Sound was excellent and I did not have to change an EQ or volume setting. The sound blended well with all the amplified instruments and vocalists in the group. These new cheaper wireless units are a great leap in technology for those of us who do not want to spend pro-gear dollars of $800+ for wireless!

Todo perfecto porbparte de Amazon. El inalámbrico funciona sin problemas. Cero ruidos, lag inapreciable y un alcance más que suficiente. Lo probé en un bolo en exteriores y pude hacer pruebas de sonido a 20 m. Lo he probado durante más de dos horas y la batería no se agotó. El jack entra sin problemas en todas mis guitarras: Fender strato y telecaster, Epiphone Les Paul y Sheraton. Todas con pastillas pasivas. Gran compra.
