Fiske Guide to Getting Into the Right College

I have read a good bit about the college search already, and this is the most helpful book I have found yet. It gives practical advice and steps in beginning the process, and then succinct descriptions of a large number of colleges with the information we really want, to help start a list. I paired it with the Fiske Guide to Colleges, which gives more in-depth descriptions of colleges, and like the combination.

This is a book for the over zealous parent. The information contained within is available on the internet without much difficulty, and the Fiske Guide to Colleges is much more comprehensive and useful. I had hoped that this would be a supplement, but there really wasn't any new information. The lists were modest and could have been much more detailed. I had hoped for much more.

okay book. not enough colleges or generalized majors in book in planning section to help. other books are better.
