It stirs, it heats, it's easy to clean
Not everyone needs a stirring hot plate in their kitchen, but for those of you who do this is great. The first use was getting a pizza dough yeast starter nice and active, and it did a great job with that. No killing of the yeast by overheating. Nice stirring action to give them oxygen to grow. Next, reducing the tomato sauce for the pizza was a snap. Set it at a temperature that would not burn the sauce, use a heavy duty stir bar, and once the dough had risen the sauce was thick enough for use. Some of the sauce splattered onto the unit, but a quick swipe with a sponge and it was good as new.It's probably great for chemists too!
