We had struggled getting the right humidity level and with this substate, we were able to finally get the right amount of moisture. It is easy to clean and my Atticus is a fan. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great as a plant mulch. *by Y***Y on Reviewed in the United States on 7 March 2024* I bought these to use as plant mulch and they have exceeded my expectations! They come in perfect size and one they have some moisture added to them they expand and I end up using less of it so it stretches and lasts longer. Used it on two full cycles of medical cannabis indoors and worked wonderfully as well as used it on Comfrey, tomatoes, peppers, and different house plants and it helps to keep the top layer of soil moist and in cannabis plants it helps cover the topsoil from UV bulbs and helps keep my cover crop growing and not drying too fast like it did before using mulch because the top layer always dries up first and fast but now it dries pretty evenly and my cover crop loves it. It has neutral pH so it would work great with peat moss based soil as well as coco coir soil. The seller was nice to answer all of my questions regarding its pH and whether or not it could be used as mulch.
