AmAble to control how long or short I want the chain without him pulling if there are other dogs while walking.

The nylon chord in all of these leashes is weak. It doesn’t seem brand-specific. Prior to seeing this one, our mid sized dog chewed through two of them in a matter of weeks. The 2-ft cable extension solves the problem completely.

The Leash itself is pretty common works well and seems pretty sturdy I bought it for the extended wire coupler my Terrier when we walk and maybe stop and talk with Neighbors he would chew on through leash lead I went through 3 leash's, so far this is working wellthank you

I've had a lot of retractable leashes over the years, and this one is by far the worst.The metal lead is nice to have, but the coil which retracts the leash is useless. It does not fully retract the leash, which was really annoying when I took my dog for a walk with this.My dog will run out to the end of the leash, then run back toward me, and because the retraction doesn't work very well, the leash sags and causes my dog to get all tangled up.Avoid this leash and find one that works.

It was a really nice and solid leash and it fits very comfortably and nicely in my hand but I was really disappointed in the locking mechanism. Most leashes that I have used in the past you push/slide a button up or down to lock and unlock but not this one. As long as you are pushing and holding the button down it will "pause/break" but in order to lock it you have to hold the button down while sliding the plastic casing that sits around the base of the button. The lock is a bit cumbersome and when ypu have a fur baby that likes to tug a little it can make it more difficult if not at times impossible to use. Sadly, I returned the item to purchase one that fits our needs better.

After more than 6 months of daily use, I can now give an honest review. (don't you hate reviews from someone who hasn't tested the product yet?) I highly recommend this Crown Paws retractable dog leash. I've got 40 lbs of pulling beast at the other end, and this leash never fails. After all this use, it still retracts perfectly and never binds. My only complaint is that it does not have a ring on it to attach doggie bags. This was easily solved with a small zip-tie.
