The 128/256gb ssd s are not replacable or upgradable.Ram is super slow when you load applications like Adobe.For the price charged this laptop is really a bad choice as it doesn't offer any flexibility.I bought it for my daughter as the school recommendes it but it's absolutely useless and had to throw it after 6 months.

I got my order today and noticed how fast the unit and power charger heat up. I had to use a fan to cool both down - a bit disappointing. Please let me know if this is normal.

Battery died in one year and insurance refused to cover the cost of repair - even when I had bought extended insurance for 3 years . So my strong recommendation is that Don’t buy the Microsoft surface pro and more importantly don’t buy extended insurance cover from Salama/ Amnly as they will refuse to cover repairs even during warranty period

The fact that this package don't have keyboard has been hidden in the detailing. Otherwise it is fine

I purchased this device about a year ago, and am in love with it. No issues.

I purchased this as a replacement to my broken Surface Go 1. Bear in mind that the keyboard and pen are not included - you will need to buy these separately.It came with windows 10 installed but it was very simple to upgrade to windows 11 although the download and installation took a while to complete. The other caveat is that there is no longer an SD expansion card slot on this device but you can upgrade the hard disc - there is a cover on the back you need to remove in order to gain access. There are 2 USB C thunderbolt 4 ports and a Surface connect power point on this device. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also featured if you use wired headphones.I needed a tablet with a full blown operating system and this one is perfect for me.In my opinion the Apple Ipad pro has a better screen and although very desirable it is just a very big iphone!! The Surface Pro 8 is very fast and has a very good touch screen. I am not an avid gamer but it will run Skyrim and some other less demanding titles without any issues so far.So if you are in the Microsoft ecosystem then this PC would be a wise purchase although I use Apple devices as well. It is made from high quality aluminium alloy but is heavier and not as thin as the ipad Pro.The built in kickstand is a great feature and is very well engineered and folds seamlessly into the back.It also has a reassuring solid feel when carrying it around but I use a carrycase when on the move.I use windows hello face recognition and it is lightening fast even in low light. The sound quality from the built in speakers is good as well with a well defined bass. The Alcantara Signature keyboard and the pen which I also purchased as separate items are a must have if you want to use this PC as a laptop.Although this isn't the newest Surface Tablet it is more than adequate for my needs -

Ho deciso di acquistare questo Surface quando il mio vecchio Dell XPS13 ha deciso di andare in pensione dopo 7 anni di onorata carriera. Devo ammettere che visto il prezzo (importante) ero molto scettico e avevo paura di ritrovarmi con un semplice tablet al prezzo di un PC.Ho quindi pensato di prenderlo usato da Amazon Seconda Mano, il servizio che ri-mette in vendita i dispositivi restituiti o ricondizionati e ora a distanza di più di due mesi sono pronto a dirvi quello che penso del Surface, ma prima ancora di:Amazon Seconda Mano.Fino ad un paio di settimane fa aveva un nome molto meno chiaro (Werehouse Deals) ma faceva esattamente la stessa cosa che fa adesso e cioè ridare nuova vita ai prodotti tecnologici restituirti o riparati/rigenerati per non sovraccaricare il pianeta di immondizia in eccesso.Ho acquistato questo portatile ad un prezzo molto inferiore a quello del nuovo pagandolo circa 700€ al posto di 1200.La descrizione diceva: Usato- Condizioni accettabili (Il display presenta imperfezioni estetiche ma è utilizzabile. Una o più imperfezioni estetiche di 2,5 cm o maggiori sulla parte anteriore dell'oggetto. Piccoli graffi sui lati del prodotto (fino a 1 cm). Piccoli graffi sul retro del prodotto (fino a 2,5 cm). L'articolo è nella sua confezione originale, ma la confezione è danneggiata.).Nonostante questa descrizione ho deciso di acquistarlo ugualmente perché in caso non mi fosse piaciuto il suo stato avrei potuto restituirlo senza alcun problema. La verità però è che il prodotto che mi è arrivato, ad eccezione della scatola, era praticamente nuovo. Nessun graffio sul display, nessun graffio sul retro, caricabatteria ancora con la pellicola originale e solo una leggerissima abrasione in prossimità della porta di ricarica. Davvero non mi potevo aspettare nulla di così perfetto considerando soprattutto la descrizione visibile su Amazon.Ho provato a fare qualche foto del prodotto appena arrivato che allego alla recensione anche se non si può capire al 100% la condizione.Prima di passare al Surface, vi invito a dare uno sguardo alla pagina dedicata ai prodotti usati perché ci si possono fare davvero ottimi affari.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Passando al Surface Pro 8, tutto quello che pensavo prima dell’acquisto l’ho potuto verificare in poche settimane di utilizzo.Parto subito col dire che se acquistato senza una tastiera diventa un prodotto limitato e limitante perché in modalità touch non è nient’altro che un tablet molto potente ma che non vi permette di fare di più di navigare in internet e vedere film o video su YouTube.Tutt’un’alta macchina se equipaggiata con la sua tastiera.Io ho preso la versione con processore Intel I5 di 11° generazione, 8GB di RAM e 256GB di SSD (sostituibile). La macchina è certificata Intel Evo.L’ingegnerizzazione da parte di Microsoft è spettacolare! Super sottile, con un display da 13” bellissimo e un telaio in alluminio anodizzato di colore nero. È impensabile che un prodotto così sottile e leggero possa racchiudere così tanta potenza da poter essere utilizzato come laptop dalla maggior parte delle persone che utilizza un PC quotidianamente nel mondo.Dico questo perché mi ritengo un’utente un pochino sopra la media delle persone che utilizzano un portatile e con questo riesco a fare tutto quello che riuscirei a fare con qualsiasi altro PC.Utilizzo il computer prettamente per navigare in internet e utilizzare il pacchetto Office, come la stragrande maggioranza degli utenti; altre a queste operazioni creo siti web con Wordpress ma soprattutto monto video e ritocco foto con i programmi della suite Adobe e devo ammettere che non ho mai avuto nessun problema neanche quando vedo le modifiche fatte su un video in 4K a 60Fps (operazione molto difficoltosa per le schede video e le RAM). Il computer anche in queste fasi si comporta egregiamente senza rallentamenti o lag che potrebbero creare problemi in fase di montaggio. L’esportazione del video poi è molto veloce e un filmato ad alta definizione di circa 10 minuti viene esportato in circa 2 ore.Non sono un videogiocatore e quindi non l’ho provato lato gaming, ma credo che i giochi che non hanno bisogno di tanta grafica vadano bene; per capirci credo che una lunga sessione di gioco ad esempio con Minecraft potrebbe creargli dei problemi.Due cose non riesco a farmi piacere fino in fondo:La prima è la mancanza di una porta USB a grandezza normale. È vero che la macchina è molto sottile e sarebbe stato impossibile mettercela, come è vero che ormai il futuro prevede solo porte USB-C, ma in questa fase storica di transizione il dover per forza attaccare un Hub USB per poter collegare le chiavette è davvero snervante e rende il portatile un pochino meno portatile.La seconda cosa riguarda la batteria. Non so se la mia era rovinata in quanto prodotto di seconda mano ma in un utilizzo “stress” dura poco più di un paio d’ore. Se invece si utilizza il pacchetto Office, si riesce ad arrivare anche a 4 ore ma i valori indicati da Microsoft non li ho mai neanche avvicinati.Insomma, senza dilungarmi oltre vi dico che se siete alla ricerca di un computer portatile per un utilizzo standard che rientra nel perimetro delle cose elencate in alto, questo di Microsoft è la pura essenza della portabilità senza perdere le prestazioni che sono comunque di altissimo livello.A distanza di due mesi vi dico che mi ci trovo benissimo. Riesco a svolgere tutte le operazioni che svolgevo con il mio vecchio Ultrabook senza dover rinunciare a nulla. Va acquistato con la tastiera e con un Hub USB perché altrimenti diventa un semplice tablet. Bellissimo esteticamente, non scalda praticamente mai, ma soprattutto riesce ad essere estremamente versatile e trasportabile grazie allo stand che lo fa inclinare in una qualsiasi posizione e al suo peso sotto al Kg.A mio parere è il prodotto prefetto per le esigenze quotidiane.Niks

I love my surface pro and as great as it is there are some minor points to consider.Screen isn't the brightest so needs to be kept away from the sun while the battery is great unless you're using any kind of performance.I found the battery lasted maybe 3-4 before reaching low power and requiring charging while I was using software to do some basic video editing (still learning).The price is the biggest issue. You can buy a standard laptop with better performance for half of the price so not exactly value for money but somewhat worth it if you require the travel function of using a tablet etc

This fully met my expectations. A nice bright high resolution screen, and with a fast processor. The Windows 11 operating system works well. I'm very pleased with the package.
