## Description

The Glitch Mob-the Los Angeles-based trio comprising Justin Boreta, Ed Ma, and Joshua Mayer-continues their forward movement into 2014. Boreta, edIT, and Ooah came together around 2006, passing through various members until settling on this core trio of musicians. Together, they combined their different skills and aesthetics into the compellingly collaged whole that has become one of the most beloved live electronic acts, and distinctive recording artists, working today.

good, different. lucky? got soul here

I just discovered this. Here's how I understand it. There guys took their glitch edm tools and set out to make one killer transcendent album. Its kind of retro sounding, a tiny bit dubsteppy. but its got its own sound. I'm not sure why it works so well. Is it the understated production that doesn't BLOW YOU AWAY IMMEDIATELY like so much electronic music? Was this intentional? An accident? I really don't know, but the whole thing works. Its loose, an electro jam. Got some world music flavor buried in there somewhere and some garage rock sensibility.I don't like the next album at all. I think this was a one time deal. You can only make one album like this and you need a whole new set of sounds. Instead these guys went more mainstream or something. They need to make another album like this with a new palette of sounds or adding vocals in creative ways. They should stay in the experimental/ epic-y zone where this one iz Sucks when you gotta pay bills and chase success .I don't know if they'll ever follow this up, but this is good. Its one of the few electronic music experiences that feels natural and breathes and is organic and expansive--like some of the orb's best stuff. So often electronic music is claustrophobic and artificial

I listen to this so much, even my brother knows the songs now.

As of now there is only a single 2 star review, did the other reviewers get shamed out of their rating?I found these guys through YouTube adventures, and I have never been more pleased with the suggestion. Usually YouTube couldn't be more wrong with what it thinks I would like. While I can be picky with what I like, this album has my respect entirely. The sound is mixed so intelligently and as previously rated by someone else, it never gets stale. Each song is new and different... to me, anyway.I've listened to this so much, my brother knows it's Glitch Mob when I'm humming to myself. The smooth rhythms make this good music to listen to when I'm working and thinking because it's nonabrasive while still interesting so not to put me to sleep. After a month or so, I'm surprised to realize that most of these songs don't have vocals or lyrics. The songs are so interesting they don't need vocals! Nonetheless, "Between Two Points" is so sexy and was sort of my favorite at first. Now it's hard to say because I like all the songs. Currently I'm favoring "Drive It Like You Stole It".I'm more of a fan of Darkwave or Industrial music among other various and random things but don't like my food mixing. On the other hand, this album transcends genres entirely creating a vibe that's both primal and futuristic. When listening, I can't help but think I'm in some new plain of existence entirely, creating new worlds. This is good music. I've definitely become a huge fan.

    Love it

I dig it. I love to immerse myself in this album. It's rich, creative, transports you into its own world. I'm a writer and this actually is one of my "soundtracks" right now for inspiration. I used to live in NYC and a couple years in Tokyo. I'd go for long walks with the skull candies and a few fave albums. I loved Blockhead and Gorillaz, Corinne Baily Rae and Gwen Stefani. lol I know, interesting mix. This totally would've been one of those albums. Now, I have surround sound and state of the art speakers, so I can rock out walking around my kitchen instead. :) Good for the soles. Prevents blisters. <3 But seriously, super dope album.
