Sena 20S EVO Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset Communication System with HD Speakers

I have had the smh-10’s for 10 years. They were awesome and proved the worth of Bluetooth headsets to me. So I decided to upgrade and see if a little more premium was worth it. I bought the duo set as we use the intercom a lot.Pros: Intercom wind noise is much improved over the 10’s. The upgrade speakers have a much fuller sound than the old ones. It still won’t wow an audiophile. But it is good sound. Speaker placement is everything. Battery life is awesome. They charge quick. Mounting is easy. I use on a Bell Pitboss. Wife has a Harley half helmet. Controls aren’t all together simple. Most basic functions come pretty naturally. The app helps with some more complex stuff vs. going through a sequence to do it thru button pushes and such. But once set up, it’s mainly volume adjust and intercom on/off, or answer phone call. Volume is separate for each mode.Cons: The only one I can think of is, voice command while riding is not very effective. It’s like all the noise filtering is turned off when you try to talk to Siri, and she doesn’t hear too well. I haven’t figured out how to keep it from switching to the bike when I answer call or make one. It’s usually about a second after they answer it swiches and I have hurry and switch it back. May be more of a Harley thing than Sena

Works extremely well once you put the speakers in the speaker cutouts in the helmet seen a few reviews that these speakers weren’t loud enough and the sound and bass wasn’t too good but I’m kinda hard of hearing and it was very loud the bass could be a tad bit better but overall was fine

We replaced our old one with this and we were very pleased. The connectivity was a little hard to figure out but once we did it was a breeze. The size is perfect, not too big and not too little. The sound quality is really good. We have been on several long trips and haven’t had to charge the battery at all while riding. These are a good quality and perform to their name.

THE GOODThe rider-to-rider communications are great! Crystal clear sound and easy communications. The Bluetooth sync with my phone was also flawless with music that's loud enough. There's a definite lack of bass in the music; I may install the foam backing pads for the speakers to bring them closer to my ears for better volume and bass.THE BADThe volume when making a phone call is too low to hear unless you're stopped. I'm still experimenting with all the settings, but I think everything is already at the max for phone calls. I'm a little hard of hearing, so that makes it worse. Although the person on the other end of the phone call can hear me great!THE UGLY - at least for me...These units, like pretty much most of them on the market, mount on the left side of the helmet. For you normal people with TWO arms, that's fine. I only have an arm on my right side so it's really awkward to reach over to make the occasional adjustment. Not a flaw with the unit, but it would be nice to have something with a universal mount. I realize that I'm a very specialized case and I can't fault the company for making a unit work for that one-in-a-million rider. I just thought I'd bring it up. On the bright side, if I'm not wearing a glove the buttons and jog wheel are easy to find and use.

Install was straight forward and all parts fit well. Sound quality is above par. Voice for phone was good. Caller had no issues hearing me while traveling at well above highway speed with a full face helmet. I am not an audiophile and it took me several tries to link unit to my new bike . You really need to download manual and make several attempts to link.Overall, I am very happy with this unit.I will most likely buy a second unit for my summer helmet

Awesome communication.

I got this to replace an older SMS 5 that I couldn't keep paired with a newer GPS. I've got two other 20S EVO models that I and my wife use on a couple of other helmets. Overall I was quite satisfied with the performance of those so ... . Installation was fairly easy and the unit fits well in my Scorpion helmet. Performance is as good or better as my older units. I only have 2 complaints. (1). The "Quick Start Guide" is a joke. All it tells a new user is how to turn on/off the unit. That's it! Really, Sena? No information as to how to pair it to a phone or another unit? NOPE. Gotta download the "Full version or User Guide from their web site or the Sena Utility App. Pathetic and lazy. (2) When I tried to register the unit with Sena I never could find a model number that their website would accept. The instructions say it's on the box but I put every number I could find on the box in there to no avail. Guess that's one way to avoid having to deal with warranty issues.

my previous intercom was a Sena 10S that was around 10 years old. it worked fine but, it was time to upgrade as it was no longer supported and the app no longer worked with it. this was an amazing upgrade. the speakers are so much louder. the call quality was amazing even at 80MPH as I kept up with traffic. setup was pretty painless for the pairing process and my biggest gripe was pulling the cheek pads from my helmet to get the wires routed. I haven't actually used it as an intercom yet so I really don't know about the range. battery life so far has been on point. all in all, it was worth the price.

Best Bluetooth Headset on the market. I’ve had mine for 8 years and constantly switch it between helmets and it works great, charges fairly quickly and a charge lasts forever. I’ve never run out of charge on a ride!!

Ho avuto modo di utilizzare il Sena 20S EVO in confezione doppia durante diversi viaggi in moto e posso dire che si tratta di uno dei sistemi di comunicazione più completi e affidabili che abbia provato.L'aspetto che colpisce maggiormente è la qualità audio. Gli altoparlanti HD offrono un suono pulito e potente, sia durante le conversazioni tra motociclisti sia nell'ascolto di musica, indicazioni del navigatore o chiamate telefoniche. Anche a velocità autostradali la comprensione rimane molto buona.L'accoppiamento Bluetooth è rapido e stabile. La connessione con smartphone, GPS e altri dispositivi avviene senza particolari difficoltà e durante l'utilizzo non ho riscontrato disconnessioni indesiderate.La comunicazione tra pilota e passeggero o tra più motociclisti risulta chiara e naturale. Il sistema riesce a mantenere una buona qualità della voce anche in presenza di rumore aerodinamico, contribuendo a rendere i viaggi più piacevoli e sicuri.Ho apprezzato inoltre la semplicità dei comandi. La classica rotella Sena è pratica da utilizzare anche con i guanti e permette di gestire rapidamente volume, chiamate e funzioni principali senza distrazioni.Punti di forza:Qualità audio eccellente grazie agli altoparlanti HD.Comunicazioni chiare e affidabili.Connessione Bluetooth stabile.Facile integrazione con smartphone e navigatori.Comandi intuitivi utilizzabili anche con i guanti.Buona autonomia della batteria.Confezione doppia ideale per pilota e passeggero o per due motociclisti.Se devo segnalare qualche piccolo aspetto migliorabile, il prezzo è superiore rispetto ai modelli base presenti sul mercato, ma è giustificato dalle prestazioni offerte. Inoltre, per sfruttarne tutte le funzionalità, può essere necessario dedicare un po' di tempo alla configurazione iniziale e alla lettura del manuale.Nel complesso il Sena 20S EVO si conferma un prodotto di fascia alta, affidabile e ricco di funzioni. Un investimento che migliora notevolmente l'esperienza di viaggio in moto, soprattutto per chi percorre molti chilometri o viaggia spesso in compagnia.
