thermostat itself works great in a MerCruiser 5.7 4 barre carbureted engine. but have some rtb on hand as the gaskets are pure junk

Good gaskets, wrong size thermostat.
Does not fit a 1989 Winns 180 horizon. Gaskets work, which is why I kept the kit, but the thermostat and plastic spacer is too big to fit. Ended up going without a thermostat for now.

I started overheating so I pulled this T-stat to find the spring broken in 2 spots, with not very many hours on it
