Saxon Math Course 2 Solutions Manual

I purchased the first addition of the book and Solution Manual (also first addition), the problems do not match to the book. I solved the first 85 chapters myself (just got bored doing it and then I have second child), so I'm not too concerned that 4-5 problems in each chapter do not match, but you have to be aware that you can't just check answers if your kid is solving problem from the book.

This manual is quite frustrating. There are errors in it everywhere. Not small errors. HUGE ones. The question may as for an amount in dollars. The answer will be how many Serfs were conscripted (seriously, see written practice 64 # 6, or practice 63 #3, the answer they give is brachiopods when the question is asking about dress shoes) I don't know where the editor was but my child could have done a far better job just letting them know they were not even solving for the problem written in the book. This happens nightly. It causes much confusion with us all. Good luck if you need to have this, you will be solving and editing their mistakes nightly as you go through the lessons.

The school our son attends blows through the math lessons like a tornado through a shanty town! As parents, we needed something to help us support our son that wouldn't take every hour of every evening! The Solutions Manual allows us to check his daily work, showing us how answers were arrived at so we can not only help him get the right answer, but show him to to properly arrive at the answer. I would definitely recommend it.

The manual is extremely helpful but there are incorrect answers in many of the lessons.I like how it shows how to work each problem. I have my child do her math assignment, then I look at her answers and compare which answers are not the same as in the answer book. The answers that are not the same are then further investigated and we determine which are incorrect in the answer book and which ones my child missed.Even though there are some incorrect answers in the solutions manual, I would not be able to help my child without it.

I guess you would expect a small handful of errors in a large book of so many problems, but after awhile you start to doubt the book whenever your answers are different. The QC could have been better. Note: these were errors that were verified by the course instructor and some of them verified online as well as others found them. All in all, it still helped us immensely and I don't want to paint the picture that there are slews of errors in each lesson, but offhand I would say there is an incorrect answer about every other lesson.

Bought this to check my son's homework, because the teacher apparently allows only the exact solutions appearing in this manual. It is quite detailed with step by step solutions to all problems in the Course 2 book. But there are occasional errors in the answers. Otherwise it has been very useful.

My childs math teacher recommended we get this for reviewing concepts assigned for hw and checking her answers after she had completed the work. She would rush throughh hw and miss things, or needed another review of the concepts. This has helped me as a parent help my child in math. excellent!

I'm a teacher and my manual went MIA, this manual is in very good condition. Delivery was quick.
