Q: Will this fit "the works#2" version of the dp-12?

This will fit on the top rail. But that optic riser might need to be changed to something shorter. We have 4" of clearance between our brackets. It could be stretched out a little further by using the farther spaced out screws on our carrier.

Q: How's the retention? Could shells be inserted from the bottom and stay in while firing?

Retention is fine, snug, secure. System comes with two different silicon/rubber tubing that can be replace to give some adjustment to how tight shells are held in carrier. I have not had issues of shells slipping lose while live firing.

Q: Will this fit a Bellini M4?

It attaches to the picatinny rail so if your rail is at least 6 inches in length it should fit

Q: Can the carrier hold 3" shells?

Yes. It can hold anywhere from 1 to 14. Does not need to be fully loaded. Thank you. Karl, Hi-Tech Custom
