Great quality, comfort, functionality, and stays in place!
Having had 4 knee surgeries to-date, including a TKR, I have probably worn 7-8 different kinds of knee braces at various times, none of which were comfortable or seemed to provide adequate support or pain relief, and all were so annoying! So, when my Ortho PA told me to wear one for the next 6 months until my next TKR, I was not excited. I am loving this brace, though!Doesn’t slide around/down, so no readjusting it all day long! It’s so annoying to be barreling through your day and have to stop to pull up a knee brace that’s now down on your calf. Unless your thigh is the same size as your calf, you know what I’m talking about! This brace fits true-to-size and is easily adjustable to keep it fitting snug in place all day long. As a plus-size female with curves and shapes, I’ve never had that in a knee brace! Take your measurements honestly and use the sizing chart. This one is hard to explain, but due to swelling, I have a large bulge of soft tissue on the inside of my knee. Putting on most other braces, they would wrap around this bulge, compacting it into the knee and causing even more pressure and pain. With this one, the metal brace lays nicely where it needs to be on each side of the knee, and the open design around the side from the straps allows the ‘bulge’ to escape, relieving the extra pressure. Support without being overly constricting is so comfy!Doesn’t itch: With a lot of braces, I’ve found there are always a couple of places where the stitching itches and pokes and irritates my skin. That’s not the case with this one.Great quality, comfort, and functionality!

Plus size brace! Actually works! Happiness!!!!
So I ordered this since I had a knee injury beginning of this week, I ordered the correct size for my plus size thighs. Thanks to this brace I haven’t been able to need my crutches it doesn’t slip constantly. Unlike other ones! Might be needing to get another one for my other leg just in case. Design is comfortable to the point I forget sometimes I had an injury until I’m moving the wrong way to start seeing stars in my vision. Size would be a 3x or 4x. I weigh about 242.2 5’4. Works for me! Someone try it out!

Caution: Sizing
IF you are plus sized with larger thighs/calves, be careful!! the measuring chart is a little lower on the advertisement, although it is simple to read, I don't know if I'd go larger if you are in-between sizes. As that is what I did (per the measuring chart), the item doesn't truly fit properly. I have to tighten it even further, but when you do that then you'll run into the brace slipping and not staying in place. I purchased this because of the pain in my right knee due to lifestyle changes (working out, and cleaning) when I read the post for this item, it hit all the marks with what I was needing and when I went to try it on, I was met with disappointment when I'm spending more time keeping it in place only to have it slip not even a minute later. Now I'm out $40 for a brace I can't use. So please be careful when purchasing this particular brace from Hocafer.

FITS WELL, DURABILITY SUSPECT
On the plus side, the fit is good and it provides welcome and sufficient support - being 6’3” and 365 lbs, these are both hard to come by for me. It was also delivered very quickly when I needed it on short notice. However, after only two or three hours of wear the stitching around the kneecap ring started coming undone, and after three or four days of wear the stitching around one of the support struts started coming undone. Not catastrophically (it still works a month later, though looking ragged) but I doubt it will last the summer. I’ll be looking for a different brand for the next one.

No slipping during a 12 hour nurse shift at a hospital
I'm a Nurse and I was out of work for 5 months for a meniscus repair. This brace is perfect! A 12 Hour shift and it dose not slip. The trick is skin contact, wear it under your clothes. I love the configuration of the straps. It takes a little getting used to adjusting them the way you want it but it's so comfortable and supportive

Very stable for knee issues
I have a torn meniscus and frayed ligament. I can’t get surgery at this point so I bought this to help. The support is amazing and, the material is very durable. The stabilization bars really help with how wobbly my knee is and the fit is perfect. My knee feels supported and also helps with some of the pain. If surgery is not an option immediately this is a good purchase.

Not actually made for plus-size people with large legs
This is just a brace made for smaller “standard size” people but with extra long straps. It doesn’t take into consideration the actual scale of larger legs needing the supports further apart so that they’re placed correctly. While the straps are plenty long enough for larger legs, the actual brace mechanics aren’t. I purchased the 7x-8x and the straps fit around my leg fine (my measurements are - upper thigh: 35.5”, knee: 25.5”, lower leg/calf: 26.5”).The problem is that the hinged metal supports are in a fixed position about 4” on either side of the center of the knee. As you can see in the pictures, this places them in the front of my knee rather than on the sides, so they do nothing to actually support the knee while walking. Not to mention that the neoprene-type material both slides and rolls down. I found it impossible to keep the top strap flat on my leg, it constantly just twisted and rolled.Suggestions to the manufacturer for improvement:1) The layout of the brace needs to be completely reconfigured to accommodate actually large legs. The front section of the brace needs to be much wider, the metal hinge supports need to be further away from the knee support “donut” to accommodate larger knees.2) The straps should be twice as wide and a less flexible material to help prevent twisting, rolling, or folding of the straps.3) Your brand is one of the only options on Amazon for my size range; improving the form/function of this brace would make it an actually viable, affordable option for larger people.
