The House of StauntonStandard Chess Board Carrying Bag - Small 24" x 24"

Was skeptical at first, but zipper is well-shielded from board. I would prefer a bag which uses no zippers, but none are available.The zipper inside the bag appears to be recessed into the fabric and is visible only in a very narrow slot. Any chessboard with a flat edge should be safe from contact with the zipper inside the bag. A chessboard with a beveled edge such as my vintage Drueke No. 64 might possibly have the zipper contact the leading edge. I am not willing to put my Drueke board into this bag. For my other two wooden chessboards which have flat edges, this chessboard carrying bag is fine.

My heavy, 23 1/2" x 1" thick and 16" x 3/4" thick boards both fit inside nicely. Smooth and easy zipper action. Sturdy construction with good interior padding and board protection.My only complaint is the loop handles are unnecessarily long; to carry this, my forearm is parallel to the floor. Not enough to take off a star, just me being picky. This is for home storage, not long walks.All in all, another fine product from The House of Staunton.ChessUSA also offers these in smaller sizes without the pocket.

Nicely made bag.My 20" x 20" x 7/8" board fits nicely. The board rest 4" below the upper zipper and 2" clear each side. No danger or scratching :-)My only negative comment is that is smells just awful. Maybe will go away with time?

This case is so great it holds my Large 24" board, my 20" board, my 15" board and all of my color vinyl boards and a little more room left for one more !!!

Very nice tough bags to protect your best chess boards! Very glad it doesn't have lots of unneeded extra pockets - just a nice padded board to protect the board. I use separate protection for my best chess pieces.

Good quality and don't regret buying at all!
