I ordered the black paracord for my pink iron flask and got maybe 2 months of use out of it before the plastic part that wraps around the bottle snapped in half when I picked up my bottle one day. I'm a nurse so I use my water bottle constantly and was a little sad that the cord broke. If you're one of those people who carry a million things in/out at a time to avoid taking multiple trips, you understand how convenient this thing was to wear around my wrist while carrying a ton of other things haha. Luckily customer service was AMAZING. I emailed them with a picture of my broken paracord and order number and they got back to me later on that night asking me to pick out a new cord and they'd ship it out to me for free! Unfortunately, they didn't have any black cords left so I had to choose a different color but that's okay, I love my new one! 5/5 stars for amazing customer service, the new cord, and just for being an overall amazing company. I will continue to buy from this brand for this exact reason!

The design is really good but it's kind of hit or miss with durability and quality both from my own experience and what I've read. The plastic ring is easy to slip on if you sit it in hot water for about a minute and it is a very secure fit once it cools down and sets. The paracord braid is very robust and fully supports the weight of my full 40oz flask even with my concerns about the securing end. The braid may need some extra glue on the ends to keep it from unraveling down the line. I'm unsure if mine just slipped through QA without fully secured ends or if this is intended. The ends are nicely fused and won't fray easily but I don't get into emergency situations where I would need easy access to the full length of paracord so I would rather have some gorilla glue holding the braid secure. My handle came with a faulty compass (air pocket trapped inside large enough to unlevel the disc) and the whistle is very quiet but those features aren't critical to my lifestyle, they're just aesthetic considerations to me. I really like the utilitarian design overall and the hidden fire sparker is very clever. The handle comes with a small carabiner flip for securing it to a bag or belt, but I wouldn't use it as the sole load bearing clip for my flask.

Needed one of these to carry my water bottle and this one for perfectly on my water bottle. Little hard to put around bottle but if you run it under hot water it will slide into place easily and much easier to carry with the paracord handle

Extremely disappointed with this product it does not work at all and is completely useless to me. I’ve ordered these handles in the past - maybe a year or two ago. I don’t know what’s happened since then, if they switched manufacturers or something but the new handles are terrible. I had to order 2 and neither worked. The first one wouldn’t fit over the rim of the bottle. Since I’ve ordered them before I know how to do it and I also tried all the other tips and tricks like putting them under warm water and stuff and nothing worked. Thinking it was just a one off defective product I ordered another. This one has an issue with the buckle. As soon as I go to lift the bottle the bucked comes off and the bottle just swings defeating the entire purpose. I’m going to try to return it but the return options are also really inconvenient this time. Super upset by this.

I purchased this to go with my 40 oz. wide mouth Iron Flask bottle. It works out very well, and carrying the bottle is much easier. The paracord braid seems tight and the plastic ring is doing a fine job connecting the handle to the bottle. Personally, though, that is all I need from a handle. I don't really need a compass, a ferrocerium rod and striker, or an emergency whistle. I'm not sure what use the cord lock serves, but it is there. And the carabiner seems to be placed in such a way that it offers very little in the way of added functionality, but it does make the bottle much louder to use, as it clanks against the metal sides when carried and sounds a bit like a cow bell. I suppose it is meant to be used with the chug lids, but I don't use those, so it doesn't do much for me; I use the straw lid, which has an integrated latch ring already. It is obviously not meant to be used with the wide-mouth stainless steel lids, as those mount on the same part of the bottle as this handle and there isn't enough room to accommodate both. These features are obviously designed for more outdoors-oriented activities, and not just for people going to the gym... I don't mean to brag, but I have never needed a compass to find my way from the treadmill to the free weights. For those times that I am outdoors and am in situations where I might need such things as compasses and fire steels, I usually have much more user-friendly versions of them with me. This product does what I need it to do, and it seems to do it very well. It has a lot of extra bells and whistles (in this case, literally) which I find more gimmick than added function, but your mileage may vary. In truth, I'd rather pay $5 for just the paracord handle than $10 for a paracord handle and a bunch of extra urban commando stuff, but none of it seems to impede the function of the handle or the bottle. All in all, if I had to buy it again, I would. In fact, since I use and carry this bottle daily, if this handle lasts more than a year or so, I will consider myself having gotten my money's worth out of it.
