IZODMen's American Chino Flat Front Straight Fit Pant

Good Quality, Good Fit and Good Price
I bought a pair in English Khaki in size 31W 30L. The color is exactly what I expect from a classic Khaki. They had been in the washer/dryer once with my regular laundry. They fit just as specified after the laundry cycle. The material is medium thickness all cotton and looks fine after laundering. These pants are well constructed and look like they will hold up well through regular laundry cycles. The material is suitable for 3-season wear except the winter which may call for something thicker or all wool. I am slim/medium build, and they have a nice, tailored look on me. A pleasant surprise is that, despite all cotton, they came out of the dryer without serious wrinkles. I folded them ready for wear and laid them on a flat surface for an afternoon, after which they looked quite presentable without ironing. So in summary, I recommend these pants if you are slim or medium build and like a tailored look.

Better than expected
I bought these for when I ride "Motorcycle" it can get cold here in Philly but i ride all year round. I figured let me try these see if it helps? The answer is yes! It's only 60 here that might not sound to bad but on the highway at 65-80 mph constant wind for 35 miles that changes fast! These pants were amazing. They fit great they are super comfortable I could feel any wind on my legs. Great buy good price I will 100% be buying more for cold day's.

Pleasantly Surprised
I retired several khaki slacks in my work wardrobe recently, so I was looking for options. I bought some Dockers Straight Fit no iron and found them to be good quality, but the a little pricey. plus the Dockers do not come in the odd in between waist sizes. The Izod American Chino does come in a 31 waist, which works better for me now that I have lost a bit of weight and a 32 feels too loose. I thought the price for these Izods was very reasonable, but was unsure what kind of quality or fit I would get. I ordered the British Khaki and the Navy to find out if they would work on me.Fit: Definitely more of a contemporary fit compared to some of my older fuller cut pants from other brands. It's advertised as "straight fit", and I would say more closely fitted than the Dockers straight fit pants. The leg hole at the cuff is noticeably smaller than on the Dockers for a more tailored look, but without being too slim. I could squat down or kneel in my Dockers without hesitation. With the Izods on I am a more careful because I feel it's tighter in the thigh and seat. I could see how you might cause a blow out by suddenly contorting yourself. But probably true of any no-stretch clothing that fits more closely. Totally comfortable for normal sitting and walking though.Fabric: Seems the equivalent of what most makers are offering in their no iron khakis as far as weight and feel. Maybe a very slight sheen to the fabric which I don't mind at all. I tossed them in the washing machine and then ran them through the dryer at the wrinkle free cotton setting. Pants emerged without wrinkles. The key is to not put your wrinkle free stuff in a dryer packed with other clothing. Leave a lot of room in the machine so the other stuff doesn't crush and wrinkle the pants, and then remove immediately when dry and put on a hanger. Little or no shrinkage detected. The after wash fit seemed equivalent to the pre-wash fit. BTW, you can remove the annoying IZOD label by CAREFULLY picking at the row of stitching on the label surface with a sharp Xacto knife. Obviously this will void any possibility of a return. Do this before you wash the pants too many times, otherwise the fabric that was under the label will look different. The crease in the pant legs that was evident when they arrived in the packaging vanished after washing. Dockers seem to hold their crease even after wash. These IZODs will emerge from the wash as true flat front chinos. Fine by me. But if you're determined to have creases, then youneed to iron them back in.If they hold up well, I will likely order some more. They seem to be a great value. I sit at a computer most of the workday, so these pants should work out great for business casual wear. But if I was in a more physically active job, then I would think something from Dickies or Carhartt might be more appropriate for pure durability.

The Holy Grail of Chinos?
I've been shopping hard for the ultimate khaki chinos at the sub $50 price. I'm trying to standardize on everyday pants and don't like to wear jeans to work. They need to be tough enough for chores, stain resistant, not too wrinkly and comfortable in a desk chair and not too skinny or too wide. I've tried at least a dozen different makes and models recently, including the Amazon private brands. Most failed in various ways like easy to stain, flimsy, etc. Notably, I thought I found the holy grail in the Banana Republic Emerson Chinos, but three pairs failed in various ways with light wear. Volcom Men's Frickin Modern Fit Stretch Chino Pant come close with their thick fabric and double stitching, but they're too skinny below the knees for me. These Izod's seem very good. I've bought two pair and have been wearing for about a month. I'll update the review if they fall apart, but so far they are holding up well despite the single stitching and no stains. These are lightweight and not comparable to twill work pants, they're a bit breezy and probably good for summer. I wouldn't wear them to put a roof on a house, and probably not to a fancy restaurant, but for everyday light duty they're more respectable than Dockers. Also of note, They have a bit of a sheen (maybe the coating) and some loose threads that needed trimmed, and also there is variation in sizing, I order two pairs in the same size and they both fit differently. I paid <$25 per pair on Amazon, but the price fluctuates daily and I've seen them as high as $60. On the Izod website today I just saw them <$25. ->>>>update...almost a year in and 6 pairs later...the seams tend to fail, and the pants are not warm at all in the cold weather... and in general, they don't wear very well. Maybe my expectations are just too high for khaki pants.

Good trousers, this is the second pair I have ...
Good trousers, this is the second pair I have bought - they are longer than listed, where as the first pair was perfect. But this is not bad, as they can be taken up.What is good though, is finding a 28 inch waist, where most men's brands start at 30"

IZOD Men's Regular American Chino Flat Front Straight Fit Pant
I bought 4 pants(same length and waist) and found the black and the blue to be a little more roomy than the two khaki color pants. All are comfy but the Blue and Black a bit more so..
