Roman intimiste
George Eliot décrit avec autant d'aisance les paysages de la campagne anglaise et le paysage intérieur des émotions.

A nice paperback edition of a fantastic classic
This is a review more on the presentation of this paperback by Oxford press than it is of George Eliot, whose writing is insightful and internal, and whose merit is beyond the scope of my pen, so to speak. There are a million and one reviews and articles on The Mill on the Floss. It's a classic for good reason. This is a very nice edition. More costly than, say, the mass-market paperbacks published by Worsdworth, but all the more enjoyable for it. The volume includes:• Introduction (by Juliette Atkinson)• Textual note (as above)• Bibliography• Chronology• Explanatory notesThe pages are smooth, with clean page formatting, which makes navigating the extensive chapter and sub-chapter lists much easier than a previous version I read. The spine opens nicely without having to bend and break it (Wordsworth, I look at you!). The pages are smooth and the print is of a decent sized font.I have to admit, I'm rather a fan of this printing house, but sometimes their translations of great books leave something to be desired. Happily, with a George Eliot novel, you won't incur this problem. It's just a very nicely printed English classic that's worth the extra bob or two for the pleasure it feels in the hands, and the pleasure it is on the eyes.

Bueno
Buena calidad, bonito diseño de tapa. Lo único pero es el tamaño de la letra, podría ser un poco mas grande.
