ToysmithNightZone Orbit Light Up Skip Ball - Colors Vary

Bought this as a BIRTHDAY gift for my granddaughter. This one is super nice because it has a rubber ball attached on the end of it unlike others that have a hard plastic ball attached. Less noice, less damage if used on wooden floors inside the home. This lights up, gets them moving, and is so fun not only to do it but watching is fun. I had one as a kid and loved it. My granddaughters loved this one. I would recommend this one.

Ok... this is NOT exactly the skip it of my youth... but after purchasing many disappointing knock-offs that broke immediately or didn't work because of basic design falls....and "modern" versions that also don't work (twister skip it- the dingle is WAY too heavy and the "cord" is twisted and doesn't want to fly around your ankle), avoiding still others due to horrible reviews and looking on ebay and finding one that was CLOSE for $120!!! .... I found this one... No reviews... I admit, I was scared... plus I worried about the knobby bouncy ball... but EUREKA!! It works!! Listen it lights up and eventually it will die as the batteries are not replaceable... but WHO CARES? You can STILL skip it! I am LOVING this. Wish I was still as young and bouncy as I used to be 40 years ago... but I adored it then and now. I just can't do it for hours like I used to...and I'm a bit slower. :) I'm pretty sure this counts as exercise and it's fun! Of course, mine is covered in sand cause I skip on the wide open beach. If you were a fan of the original, you'll find this amusing and it works! I'm getting two more... one for my sister (else she WILL steal mine) and one for the house that isn't covered with sand. :) You do need a pretty good size area that is clear... but it works on floors or carpets and sand of course. I'm pretty sure people think it's very amusing to see an old, fat lady skipping down the beach. HA!The loop is plenty big enough to slip over your shoe... 5 1/2" diameter on the side of the plastic ankle loop... the cord is tube covered (this is REALLY important because otherwise the cord just wraps around your ankle and you can't "skip it").... the ball is attached to cord very well... I yanked on it... stood and pulled... obviously more than you need to do... but I wanted to test it.You don't get to pick your color... doesn't bother me. I got a really great purple one in my first order.I will update if there are any breakage issues, but honestly it's pretty dang well made and I don't expect those kinds of issues.

Broke almost immediately. Spun around my ankle, hit the wall, and came apart. At least it didn't cost too much.

It would be nice if motion alone would get this to light up, but instead, it has to bounce. I'm not a pro, so maybe some people can be on a role all the while it's bouncing, but generally speaking, it doesn't bounce once you get it going, which means no lights.

Takes me back to my childhood! The old school skip it. Perfect gift for a child.

So I've had my eye out for the old school skip its. My six year old has been begging for one. I found this one instead. I figured it would be just as fun because it's similar to a skip it. the purple gel ball lights up as it bounces and spins as you use it. I found though that he has trouble because it doesn't seem to be weighted enough to stay down on his leg while he skips it. He also was bummed that it didn't have a counter to see how many skips in a row he could get. I wouldn't buy this again just because it's not really what he wanted, and it doesn't really work for him.

Works great/ as expected. Great gift for a kid. Comfortable and easy to use. Good quality material. Not to long . Lightweight.

Let the kids play! Brings them out and up to enjoy the fun.

update...it has back to its best... i am not sure why the orbit light issue happened.. but its working again... changing the review start to 5 starts.-------------so it reached one fine sunday and the orbit light stopped working exponentially... by monday evening it went dull

My grand children (5, 7, 11) love them... the 54 year old grand mother loved them too.

I bought this skip it product thinking that $25 was a lot to spend hoping it would last as my daughter loves to jump! We unpackaged it upon delivery, my daughter (6) ran outside and it broke after about 45 seconds of use. The end flew off. Very disappointed.

My kids love. It's great exercise but it could be better quality.
