As other reviews indicated, the peanut butter flavor has a very off very metallic chemical taste. It's overhwelming and cannot be ignored, and really ruins an otherwise OK cookie bar. The texture and density is fine, the flavors are otherwise fine, but as soon as the chemical metallic taste hits you, it ruins and takes over and makes the bar entirely unpalatable.At the price these cost, I will eat them anyways, but will not buy any others.The CHOCOLATE flavor is great - it tastes VERY similar to the old school little debbie boxed brownies, similar texture, and taste, just without frosting. The "chocolate candies" don't add much, as a lot of them fall off, but this doesn't make or break the treat - the bar itself brings the taste and texture on point.These ARE expensive, so treat them as a treat - and like I said, avoid the peanut butter flavor.

I have bought these bars at gas stations for a while now. They are delish normally. So I thought buying them in a larger quantity would be fine. I was wrong because these came to me half melted and hard as hockey pucks. I've tried to eat one of each (mint and chocolate) and they are both the same way. The mint is melted into the wrapper while the chocolate is SO HARD you can barely chew through it. They do not expire until the end of the year but how ever they are stored must be shortening the shelf life. The day they arrived they had to sit on my porch for about 2 hours. This day was a beautiful 55-60 degree day, not nearly hot enough to melt a protein brownie. Now I've wasted almost 40 bucks, so don't be like me, and try to save some money. Just buy them one off at the gas station.

The brownie: too sweet and brownie-like for a protein bar, but taste is kinda strange to pretend it's a cookie / brownie. The regular Fitcrunch protein bars are very tasty but not straddling this sort of in-between territory, and cost a fraction of what these do.The peanut butter ones are extremely bland, almost totally lacking in flavor. Also higher fat. Filling, but not much redeeming value.

I've tried a lot of protein bars, cookies, and etc...They all seem to have a taste that's less desirable. However, the Fit Crunch Loaded Cookie deluxe chocolate is hands down the best protein bar/cookie I've ever tasted. For me, it's the perfect amount of carbs, fat, and protein that I ingest pre-workout, therefore these are a go- to pre-gym snack for me on workout days. They are a little pricey, but I make the box of 12 last a whole month as I do 3 vigorous heavy training days per week. For a protein snack, 5 stars.

These bars are the MOST hit or miss items I have ever bought. Sometimes i will get the brownies , they will be soft, and delicious. However, more often than not , even when ordered directly from the manufacturer website , these things come in hard, and damn near inedible. I have gotten them with giant white clumps of sludge/fat , missing the candy bits, but almost always dried out. They taste good, but they do not hold their value. This probably happens during the shipping process , as i noticed its more common to get gross ones in the summer. This makes me think the shipping of these products needs to be handled differently. Sitting in a hot truck, then a hot van, then stuffed into my mailbox... If stores carried these id buy them there and hope for better.Also Cost/Macros/Taste on thisTaste when done right - 8/10Macros - for 330calories, 20g of protein, this is not a snack - this is meal replacementCost - at about $2.50USD per bar, as a meal replacement its not horrible, but id like to see 25g of protein at that price
