Sweet, with a tiny hint of salt ... addictive.
So I was reading a (sort of) mystery novel and the murderess caught a burglar in her house and discovered he had gotten into her cookie stash of THESE COOKIES … and had to murder him for it. This was too much for me, I had to find and buy the cookies. Who could resist cookies so good someone might commit murder to protect them? I have to report that my friends and neighbors are safe. No one is in danger of being murdered for eating one, but I bought 2 tins, one for us, one for my sister in law, and she did not get hers. When you first eat them you think well it's a pretty good shortbread-like butter cookie. Or perhaps you might think "Needs Frosting." But the subtle sweet buttery flavor gets to you and towards the end of the tin you notice you are shoving them deeper into the dark corners of the pantry where others might not look. They are wrapped in individual sets of 3 cookies.

Absolutely Delicious
I am English and a biscuit connoisseur. These are beyond a treat. I loved them so much I sent them to my 92 year old Mother and she loved them. Buttery, slightly salty, perfectly crispy and AMAZING. Great history behind them. Started in 1905...they were made by a local couple for the rich who were traveling to see Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey from Paris. It was a perfect refreshment while they were there and lovely gift to take back with them. When you try them...you'll know why. They are delicious and the best! Buy a double tin package...you will not regret it. Plus they are individually wrapped in packages of 3 inside the tin so they last forever.

Goodbye Diet
We first bought these at a Costco located hours from our house. Once we tasted this cookie, we were delighted to find same ones/same price through Amazon. My BFF is crazy about these, too, so all I have to do is message her "I've got the cookies" and she visits me the same day! That hint of salt pushes something already delicious into the wow-factor. I gave a 4 star to the packaging but need to explain. We love the actual package (a nice tin that can be reused) but a serving size is 2 cookies and yet each bundle is wrapped in 3's.

Savory, sweet biscuit that is delicious
I orginally found these at COSTCO last November but when I wen back to get more, they were sold out. I liked these cookies because they are only slightly sweet, with a balance of salty and fit the more the category fo a biscuit than a cookie. I ordered these La Grande Galette's from Amazon and I had my fix for the craving of these biscuits. They are a great treat of 3 biscuits, 9 packages and a total of 18 biscuits in a sealed package. This one of my top 5 treats!

Great cookies, no more metal tins though.
Just got my recent order of two 2-packs of these expensive cookies. I’ve purchased these over the years after being introduced to them at a friend’s house. Cookies are still the same, wrapped in clear plastic in groups of three. However the outside case is no longer a beautiful metal tin but is instead a cardboard box. I guess it had to happen, but no more tins. So sad I recycled my last tin otherwise I’d have reused it.

My favorite cookies ever!
They are sweet and salty at the same time. Excellent with brie cheese. Unfortunately, some of the tins were beaten up and some cookies were cracked. It doesn't change the quality of the product but it takes away the chance to spread anything on them. The manufacturer has taken every precaution to deliver the product intact but somewherebetween the production line and my office somebody dropped the ball or should I say the tin?

Tasty and good value - expect slightly broken pieces in some of the packs.
Tried then initially at a party & wanted to get more for myself. Found them at a good price and not disappointed. Tasted exactly as I recalled. A lower rating on presentation: they are plastic wrapped 3 per pack. In almost each 3-pack I open or looked at there’s usually one slightly broken or in two pieces. Not sure how to correct this but maybe it’s in the shopping ?

Very tasty, but expensive!
Absolutely delicious imported cookies. Not too sweet....very crisp with a salty edge. I loved them, but I find them extremely expensive. I paid $37 for two tins, and now I see that they are even more expensive. If I could get them somewhat less expensive, I would buy about six tins of them. Now they are too expensive for a few cookies.
