This p-touch label maker is easy to operate and doesn’t have a lot of complicated commands to do what you need it to do. It’s output is clean and doesn’t smear. It’s easy to change the font size and type. You can change the margin of what is printed to the tape so that wasting of tape is kept to a minimum. Overall, this machine is well thought out and operates, simply. The one feature that it doesn’t have, which would be nice would be for it to maintain its font size and margin settings in memory after the unit is turned off. While it doesn’t require batteries, it can use them, and for short term storage, they save the text that’s on the screen. It would be nice if font type, size, margin and other settings could be backed up by the battery when the unit is turned off but these are quite easily changed. Other than that, I think this brother p-touch label printer is a fantastic, easy to use, high quality device that many would find useful in many home and professional applications. A very useful, easy to use, handy device.

Our last - pretty old - Brother P-Touch died. Read all the reviews on this one and decided to give them another chance. Really glad we purchased. Very nice little label maker with vastly upgraded features. As other reviewers statedm the keyboard is quite small so you have to be careful when tapping in the text and the screen is hard to read but we did not want one that required blue-tooth & an APP to make it work. I can live with the screen issue and use a stylus to enter text. This printer is really easy to use, you don't need to learn a whole bunch of new technology to use all the features and it's loaded with lots of fun stuff like patterns and borders to spice up your labels. Very happy with this label maker.

Love this little label maker. My craft room is organized - however I need to have labels on the bins for easy ID of materials enclosed. This is perfect and can't wait to get it organized better and easier to find.

The buttons are small so you have to be careful in writing your text that you dont misspell a word. I like the idea of how this is supposed to work but reading the instructions it seems complicated to understand, and the screen is kind of hard to read unless your in good light. I like the way the labels turn out once done, but I dont like that the labels seem to use too much tape thereby waisting some of it. I tried to correct this by shortening the length but so far it hasn't worked. I guess im just going to figure this out.If your a techy type person I think you will be ok but if not you might want to bypass this label maker.

(Updated)We’ve been using the label maker for quite a while now both at home and in my daughter’s classroom and we do love it. We’ve found countless uses for it from labeling various items around the home and classroom like pantry items, gifts, pet food containers, beverage dispensers for holiday parties etc. the ONLY critique I have is the LCD display is difficult to read because it is not backlit at all. In low light I often find I need to use my phone flashlight to be able to read the display. That said the labels are terrific they even stay on through the dishwasher!I am so glad I ordered this label maker over some other options. I love the full keyboard, but I also love the numerous options for symbols and frames. It’s fantastic, affordable, and easy to use!

Great little label maker! Love the different fonts that I can use and that I can also print in vertical. Also loved that it came with a few cartridges so I won’t have to run to the store anytime soon for more.
