Veil Cosmetics Complexion Fix Concealer - Light by Veil Cosmetics

I don’t know how many stars to give this because although I liked the product and it did the job fairly adequately, I just came across it’s packaging and it turns out it expired the day after I received it. My delivery date was June 20, and the exp date was 07/19. This is unacceptable, and worries me quite a bit as it’s meant to be applied around the eye area, which is where I used it. As it’s too late to request a refund, I’m stuck for options. Just make sure you check the exp date stamped on the little box that it comes in before you start using it.

I like the product and I took a wild guess as far as color goes and I was spot on. The tube doesn’t hold a lot, fortunately you don’t need much. It is very lightweight and gives a great evening to my T zone, but I have very clear skin. I don’t think this would work if you are trying to cover blemishes without using a lot of product. The little rosacea I have is on my cheeks and that gets blended in using a watercolor blush. I really was looking for that makeup/no makeup look and this achieves that very well. I may continue to buy it, depending on how much I get out of the $40 tube. But if you have severe dark circles or blemishes, save you money on this product, you won’t be happy.

So far, Complexion Fix is pretty great. It sets far better than any other concealer / spot foundation I've tried -- creases a lot less than equally priced brands in areas like undereyes, corners of nose, & smile lines.Downsides:1) It's thinner than I anticipated, so a few layers are typically needed. Fortunately it seems to be "buidable" (as described), so it covers well with 2-3 layers.2) The dispensing brush really does not smooth out the formula. I've found that my finger or a stiffer/thicker makeup brush works better. Wish it came in a pot or a squeeze tube form, as I end up not using the attached brush anyway.

I love this product. I just use it on my eye lids, and a little below the lash line on my lower lids. I use light gold in the winter, and the next shade up when I am tan in the summer. Makes a good base for cream shadow, and makes my eyes a little brighter, without looking like heavy make up. I highly recommend it!

This isn’t a heavy concealer. So if you have rough skin I don’t know how well it will work for you. If you have slightly aged but good skin this is great. It doesn’t accentuate fine lines and it does cover discoloring (dark eyes and blotchiness) well. It works really well for the no makeup makeup look.
