I’ve been taking 1tsp daily now for 2 weeks. Initially I had some mild gastro issues but realized I should have been dissolving in warm not cold water. That change solved the issue. I’m a runner and have been taking MSM in capsule form for a few years for joint pain but this is a much higher quality source. My joints feel great and as an added bonus my face and neck which is ALWAYS red and blotchy (have been told by different dermatologists over the years it’s everything from rosacea to allergies) is now creamy and the redness is gone! This supplement is vital to overall health and should be taken every day. Many commenters here seem to have an issue with the taste which I will admit is not pleasing but I will offer a tip for those of you looking to try this life changing supplement: scoop it up and dump it under your tongue and leave it there. For one thing, you will not taste it as there are no taste buds under the tongue, but more importantly, you will get the product into your system through the sublingual delivery process which means it will not only be more effective and fast acting, it will also not go to waste as occurs through the traditional gulp it down and let your stomach and liver deal with it process. This is a great approach for other vitamins/supplements as well. After leaving it under the tongue for a few minutes or more, grab a drink and gulp it down. Done, easy. And more effective. I cannot recommend this delivery system enough. PUT IT UNDER YOUR TONGUE! There, that’s that Now, as for those of your who complain about headaches and feeling sick. Understand that this is a detox symptom and you should be glad it’s happening. MSM is cleaning your polluted system out, and sometimes it hurts. Don’t stop, let it do it’s work. After 2 weeks of taking this everyday you will no longer have these symptoms. If you do, well maybe you have a crazy amount of pollution. I recommend sticking with it until the symptoms subside, and then enjoy the glow, energy, pain relief and sense of well being that Kala Health MSM is sure to provide. It’s amazing. Last point I’ll make is the dosage. I read people taking 1/4 teaspoon? Hmm, well maybe if you weigh 60 pounds! Even then I’d say that’s a very weak dose. I’ve been taking this brand of MSM since before it was cool, I dunno how many years but suffice it to say I used to buy the 5 gallon buckets which I would love to see being offered again. Anyhow, I recommend you start small which to me (200 lb active middle aged man) is one teaspoon. From there work it up gradually to the point where you’re taking a full tablespoon, you’ll be glad you did. Very glad indeed. I’ve tried everything out there and recommend this product over any other. If God himself came to earth and took human form he would before judging all of us for our egregious behavior order himself a big ole bucket of Kala Health MSM, in all His wisdom. After tons and tons of research, I know this is the world's best MSM (the coarse crystals, the company profile, the processing, etc.). But alas, I took many such supplements for months and months, but my eyes, joints, tendons, and whatever else, did not seem to really do much. AND unfortunately, sulphurs (even natural ones) collect in the body. They're not as immediately destructive as the chemical sulphurs in the prescription meds, but they collect and cause a yellowing in your pupil and many other chronic issues. So I'm off all the stuff now... doing fruit-only diet and THAT IS helping everything! And as with any supplement, use it until you can change your diet, then get off the supplements (because supplements are NEVER whole food like in nature, no matter what the manufacturer says). These supplements are usually very expensive (in dollars these supplements are about half the price!)... but I only buy supplements that I knew from the U.S. so had to pay extra. So far I’ve taken it orally. Bitter but it’s fine. I think I would like to start soaking in the bath with it. I would love the skin and hair effects :)
