Great
As advertised. Thick paper, textured on one side and smoother on the backside. I find the pages do warp with a solid wash, but they don't bleed at all and work well with brush-pens as well as watercolor paints, etc. Pages are easy to tear out without damaging the spine or the piece. I've seen a lot of people say they prefer to rip out a clean page before working on it, but I've mostly just left them in the pad and tearing them out as I finish (no edge-to-edge washes though). Great paper for beginners looking to mess around with watercolor!

Great for testing, not so much for finished work
For the price, this is a great buy. Unless you're a kid or using it for practice sheets, it might not be worth it though. It buckles a ton. I've compared it to Arches, and the amount of buckling is about four times what Arches will do when taped down and with the same amount of water applied. Also, when peeling the tape back up, it pulls some of the paper up with it. Not so Arches. I will say though that if you keep your piece taped down until the piece is fully dried, the buckling mostly settles down. In the meantime though, your paint will have settled into certain areas you maybe didn't mean of for it to. If you want that spontaneity, great. If not, well, you get the idea.Of course, no one expects Arches quality for this price. I'm definitely going to keep using this paper based on price alone. It's perfect for testing out different techniques or how colors look when you're mixing. I won't be using it for finished pieces though. If you're not going to do any washes and won't apply a lot of water to the paper at one time, you could probably use this for a finished piece, but I'd still recommend a more expensive paper if you can afford it.

Watercolor Heaven
Painted this yesterday on Canson paper pad for watercolor 9 x 12 no corner clips and the paper did not curl. Better than Strathmore for watercolors I was using before. Takes pencil and platinum Carbon ink like a champ. I will buy this again after my pads run out.

This is the ONLY paper I use.
I have been using this paper for the past 5 years, and refuse to use anything else....heavy duty, does not bleed, and holds watercolors well.I am attaching a painting that I created using this paper.

My favorite watercolor paper
I've tried out different watercolor papers & this is the only one I always trust. Others can become grainy & wobbly, and they can also have an ugly yellow tint. This one is strong white & smooth with the nice touch of watercolor paper texture

Awesome paper
My daughter loves art & is always painting. Her age is 16. She does amazing work & knows what works best for $. It asked if it’s good for beginners & I said yes because it’s a great product but I wouldn’t spend that much $ on paper for a beginner. You could find cheaper paper till they get better at it & it’s something they really want to do. This paper is way too nice for real young kids unless you have a crazy gifted child lol

Great water color paper
The paper is perfect for the watercolor projects I do. I cut to the size I need for bookmarks and cards etc. I recommend this paper.

Disappointed
One pad has erratic sizing on the paper which acts as a resist; causing the watercolor to not adhere to the paper. Also, the sheets of paper have been cut irregularly.A real disappointment.
