BM0353 ALM ADJ Flue Stop, No Size, Steel

I needed this item to cover a 7" opening in an exposed chimney in our kitchen, where a stove pipe once was. It was a perfect fit and looks great. I want to mention that if the color doesn't suit you, it is paintable. I used Valspar Signature (satin) paint, which was the same paint I used on the walls, and in one coat, it matched!! In addition, it is substantially made and well worth the money.

I contacted several places looking for a flue cap because mine had rusted. Nobody could help me because they had no idea what I was talking about. Not only did Amazon stock it, but it was reasonably priced, quickly delivered and easy to install. Thanks Amazon!

Flue stop looked great but was too small so I can't use it. Return shipping is so much that I would only get a $2+ refunded so no use in doing that. :( But product itself looked good.

The cover fit nicely. I have a 7” thimble opening (odd ball size). It’s nice that it’s adjustable.

This works really good for what I wanted it for. They were out of stock for the one I’d ordered so they sent two of them along with a hand written note. I would buy from this seller again.

My wife purchased this for an 8" flue, but the tension arms on the back were too short to apply any pressure on the inside of the pipe. I ended up creating a ring from some aluminum flashing and ribbitting it to the back of it, basically turning it into a Tee Cap, which is actually what we should have gotten in the first place.This is a very attractive product. And normally is wouldn't knock the product for a bad decision on our part. But the description does state that its for a 6" or 8" pipe.

I recently purchased an 81 year old house in a historical district in Jacksonville, North Carolina. In the kitchen there was an area that was covered and someone had told me that a chimney went from the ground up into the attic and the prior owners encased it. My brother came up to visit and we decided to investigate it. We removed the casing and found this gorgeous brickwork. The chimney had two openings (where the pipe would go into the chimney to release the smoke). I remembered the flue covers from when I was a little girl and wondered if I would be able to find them in the correct size and color I needed. I had gone online and found several but they were anywhere from $15.00 upward. I used Amazon.com and found these new flue covers in the size I needed for a lot less. I purchased two of them and when I received them in the mail...I unpacked them, adjusted the prongs on the bottom and they fit perfectly. I like them because they are solid in color and doesn't have the print on them.

This was used to cover the flu vent for an old gas heater that was removed when we sold a house. It blended well with the wall, low profile, was easy to install, and will be easy to remove if someone buys a new gas heater. It looked flimsy at first, but for the price and function it was perfect.
