Works great
Thought I would give an honest review, no compensation or anything. 1.5 qt pot, 2 eggs from the refrigerator and covered with cold water. Put pot in and turned unit on high. 4 minutes small bubbles appear, 5 minutes steam appears 8 minutes audible bubbles and small boil, 10 minutes large rolling boil. Had to reduce temp due to some splash over. 20 minutes eggs hard boiled. Handles stayed cool. Unit base got very hot. Don’t touch. Overall comparable to a stovetop. Works good.

tested
Works as well as a stovetop unit. 1500W is a lot. I like these better than inductive cook tops because they cycle on/off with insane amounts of power that makes food burn during the power cycles. Something like this has a potentiometer for exact and constant heat. You can get professional results and control which isn't possible with other styles of cook tops.

It works good enough to get by...
I like this hotplate for when I'm using a cast iron skillet on top of it. Since cast iron holds heat pretty well, it works well for scrambling or frying eggs, or frying ham slices, or anything that can sit right on the surface of the skillet or pot. The reason I bring that up is because of the weird thermostat control even when it set high as it can go. They tell you to preheat the burner before putting a pot or pan on it ,which I usually do until it shuts itself off for the first time. That usually takes about 5-6-7 minutes. By that time, you can actually see the cast iron hot plate top glowing red slightly. But that's where the weird stuff starts happening regarding the thermostat. Once you put whatever on top of the burner, the thermometer won't stay on longer than about 5-10 seconds at a time before shutting itself off. Sometimes, it'll stay on 2-3 seconds before shutting itself off. This is not a hotplate that I'd try to use to cook something like beans, or anything that would normally take a long time to cook like corned beef or something; I'd imagine that it could easily take 24 hours...no joke. So like I said, I use it to cook eggs, or pancakes, or I split hotdogs and put them in a iron skillet to fry; small stuff. I haven't tried to boil anything on it, because I believe it would take too long to bring a decent sized pot up to a boil, if it ever did at all. If they could fix the thermostat issue, it would be a perfect hotplate, because the cast iron top gets very hot, and long after you cut it off, it's still pretty hot, so that's a testament to how well it holds heat.

Easy, Compact, and Powerful Little Burner
I bought this after reading several reviews. I recently moved into an older home from the 1920s, and the range that was in here just had to go. I am still renovating and needing something simple to help do some light cooking. After giving it a go, I am so impressed!!Positives * Love the look, I would love a black stainless but the stainless steel is a nice look overall. * Boiled water VERY fast for me, I read some reviews where it was iffy for them but I had no issues at all. Just a medium-sized regular pot for me and it did the job very quickly. * Also was able to scramble some eggs quite quickly as well. Over all, tends to heat thoroughly for me.Negatives * I wish it had a different temperature knob on it, so you knew from "Low - High" etc. You can pretty much figure it out with ease though. * Only other negative I had was, just because I sometimes run about doing other things, I wish it had an alarm that could be set to remind that its turned on. Yes, it has a light so you can just utilize that, but I tend to set myself alarms on my phone anytime I utilize kitchen items just to make sure I remember to turn them off. Would just be a nice quality of life addition, nothing really horrible by not having one.Outside of that, I am so excited and happy to get to use this little burner. If you're looking for something at a good price point, and need a burner for anything, I would totally recommend grabbing this!

Instructions are vague. Happy experimenting!
The only disappointing thing is that the instructions does not explain anything about actual pan temp. This is not a typical "hotplate". The actual place you put your pan is upon a cast iron plate that is mounted atop a heating element below. The temp knob has "MIN", "MAX" and a few dots between them. MAX will ignite the air around it and MIN won't cook eggs... It's taking me some time to find the right setting so that I don't scorch the pan or the food in it. Once the top plate gets hot, it stays HOT for a LONG time. Do not leave it plugged in unattended. I'm slowly acclimating to it and don't regret getting it. It's better than induction, to be honest.

Not just any hot plate
This unit really works! And, Yes!! It gets hot! The entire unit gets hot!! The handles remain “touchable” BUT DO NOT MOVE THIS UNIT UNTIL IT’S COMPLETELY COOLED!!! And it takes a long while to completely cool down. I didn’t have any trouble heating a medium large pot to a roiling boil, just know it’ll take longer than a conventional range top to reach boiling. It’s a “hot plate,” not a two burner conventional range top. I found the temperature settings easy to navigate. It stores easily on any shelf. Light weight but not cheaply flimsy. A great addition to any kitchen, whether indoors or out. I’m using it in a small kitchenette studio apartment. Product description is accurate.

Excellent cooktop
Cooks my meals very fast. The large burner is incredibly fast. The small burner does a good job as well. Will buy another one if needed.

This appliance is rated for 120volt operation which is not widely available in the UK.
I am unable to test and rate the product since it is for 120v operation. In all other respects it appeared on paper to meet all my requirements and is beautifully styled and robustly constructed. Sorry if I have missed the information but I cannot see any voltage rating on your ad - only one reference to power consumption.

Excellent product so far.
Its a premium quality hot plate. I wanna use it for 6 months and again write a review. I have used techwood before , 1500 w solo plate was actually really good. I wanna try this dual burner 1800 watt , so far heats really really good. It takes few minutes to heat as the metal plate is really thick and its a very nice alloy to prevent the entire device from overheating and shorting the fuse.Once hot , its just amazing.

Not working well
Initially, it worked good for 3 weeks and suddenly one of the hot plate stopped working at random. It takes longer time to heat. Longer time needed for cooking as heating was insufficient.
