"This is Your Brain on Change"
Great read!Insightful and useful tips to help build confidence, how to read a room, and how others may perceive you based on nonverbal communication. Well thought out and easy to read.Seriously, I don't think you will be able to resist trying out some of the tips while you are reading.I found myself reading and practicing the tips with my body movement before the end of the second chapter.Definitely a must read if you to spruce up your job interview technique, whether you are the interviewee or the interviewer.

Great book to help you lead or help your leader to lead.
Wonderful book - learned a great deal in dealing with a leader who was showing body language to his staff that was inappropriate or insulting. Let's say a poker face is one thing, but you need a poker body also to keep people from being able to read you mind.

A simplistic view of leadership, but good tid bits are scattered throughout.
The author does a good job of keeping my attention -- you lose me if you bore me. So the book is mildly fun. There are a good amount of sections I chose to highlight. The author definitely has a great grasp of body language and power perception. These learning are valuable and I've begun to see things I'd previously overlooked with both friends and coworkers.Leadership is all about collaboration. They make others feel values and feel self directed. This book can help open up your eyes to the emotional side of leadership.

I did not like this book at all
I teach etiquette and protocol in Las Vegas, Nevada, so I wanted to expand the topics I wanted to cover by introducing information on body language. I did not like this book at all. The book I ultimately bought and which is much more informative, definitive and interesting is, "The Definitive Book of Body Language" by Allan and Barbara Pease. They show drawings of eye, leg and arm movements, shaking hands, etc.

Good reference book
Have not read the whole book. So, my opinion is based on the material covered so far. This book is helping me learn how to polish my business image. It is worth reading especially for those who want to advance in their career. I look forward to reading this book from front to back. Good reference book.

V ery insightful
Very enjoyable read, both entertaining and enlightening. Good insights into different perspectives on actions, and some good advice on certain situations. Explores actions from the perspective of an international community, as well as looking at gender specific considerations. All in all, I found myself taking more notes and finding more NEW perspectives than I ever expected from a book on this subject. Definitely worth reading and perhaps, reading twice.

An Extremely Compelling Read
Communications is more than word exchange--it is meaning exchange! And, followers read meaning from leaders in subtle, intuitive, and totally human ways. The Silent Languages of Leaders is a powerful and practical expose on a side of meaning-exchange that has been overlooked by most business writers. Chocked full of examples and how-to's, Carol Kinsey Goman's latest classic is a must-read for anyone interested in more compelling ways to influence and inspire.

Great Read!
Very interesting read if you're interested in the subject of body language and want to apply to business situations. I've read a few books on the subject and found this one to be one of the best so far. The book is very well written, it applies the information to real world situations and also includes pictures to help you see some of the body language.
