I have 2 of them and they work alright if you only push the gate about 45 degrees open at most. When I push it 90 degrees, like to go thru with my mower, the flex rail bends some and will not close the gate on it's own under normal passage, unless you push it open with a little more torque and release. After the flex rail is bent you have to adjust more tension on it or let it go with enough torque to swing it a little harder. The holders can be adjusted to re-add tension but eventually you will have to pull it off and bend the flex rail back into original shape. It works fine for normal passage at about 45 degrees. Hope that makes sense. **Q: Will this work on a tennis court fence door?** A: Works on any chain-link fence hardware, as long as the tubing diameters are within the specs for this closer and, just as importantly, the spacing between the door and stationary pole.
