Bariatric help
After bariatric surgery I want speed to use straws. I found these special ends that keep the liquid at the top of my straws, eliminating the chance of swallowing air. My dietitian had never heard of these and after checking them out, she ok'ed them for me. So happy to be able to use a straw again.

Amazing for kids cups.

Very specific
These only work for very specific straws, which I saw in the other reviews and was expecting.. but one of them I got was missing the ball, so I returned them. The quality is nice. The design didn't work for us though because it required a lot of suction to activate the stopper and didn't seem consistent to me

great!
Wonderful product. I'm an SLP and often recommend honey bear cups for kids learning t to drink from straws but if your child already knows how to suck it's great to have these as well since u can use in any standard straw with any cup that uses standard straws.myy daughter has low tone so we use these to help with endurance and fatigue so that she will drink more.

Works Great If It Fits the Straw!
The first straw I tried one of these on was a hard plastic straw. It fit, and within five or ten minutes my toddler knew how to use a straw. This is great because the sucking can help build oral muscle tone. Many children with speech or eating difficulties have low oral muscle tone. I think it may fit the average throw-away straws that you can buy, but my toddler bites them and I did not try them. I did decide to get a shorter hard plastic straw because what we were using was long and not working well for him. That is when I found out that these do not fit all straws. It is a great product, but I would bring one to the store and test it in the straw before I purchased the straw. It slides into the bottom end of the straw and can be too big for some straws and too small for others.
