The Marriage You've Always Wanted

This is a beautiful book that is recommendable for every couple. It definitely has a Christian slant, but it is general enough to be universally applicable. Apply the principles in this book will result in a beautiful marriage.

Worked through this book with my small group of couples. There is a free PDF study guide available online if you search for it (use Google). Each chapter is really relevant to both new and more experienced marriages. We had a mix of newly weds and married couples with 10 years behind them. Every couple found this book very insightful and thought provoking. Would highly recommend to a couple or group of couples who wish to work at a deeper level on their marriages.

Great book, if you’re struggling or just want to grow your marriage, this is an easy read with things to think about at the end of each chapter. Reflects to the Bible a lot.

This book has been very encouraging. I have been married for 8 years and this book has made me excited about marriage!

On page 23, already making a huge difference in my heart. God is teaching me so many things just in the few pages I have already read. My husband is starting it now (and he never reads) because he has seen how much it has affected me! Whether your marriage is in trouble or like me you are one of those people who always wants to make things better, this is a great book for you.Also, unlike some marriage books that are huge and so long that you look at them and are immediately overwhelmed, this book is a thin manageable size. When I first picked it up it seemed like a book I could read easily without worrying that I will tire of it.

I am sure this book is absolutely wonderful for Christians. If you are here just because of 5 Love Languages, do not expect this book to be as digestible since it explains marriage 99% through biblical references. I bought it thinking I could still find value but couldn’t get through any of the pages as they were all constructed from an ideology I do not relate to. I have utmost respect for the author and his views but can not recommend this book.

Love Gary Chapman. This book would be an excellent read for parents of young children or young people who have never been married because it talks about courting, which is almost absent in relationships nowadays. Not saying that's a bad thing but my husband and I bought it to read together and we're already married and our kids are grown so it didn't really apply to us. However, Chapman is an excellent writer so I'd still highly recommend it.

Bought this to go over with my husband & give us something to ponder. It gave us some things to work on. Worth it and better than others. Does have a biblical standpoint.
