Q: would this work on fabric?

It's as thin as tissue paper. I tried it on a VERY smooth 100% cotton tea towel and got a faint line (pushing VERY) gently. Do not know if it will wash out or not. It would be good for marking a cutting line, marker or pain, of stitching. On a thicker fabric...I tried a wash cloth, it was a no go. The fabric was to poofy and the paper just tore. So I guess it depends on what your exact needs are.

Q: When using this product to transfer on paper, what color is the transferred line? Also, can a very thin, fine line be achieved?

color transferred is normal black guess you'd have to buy special carbon paper marked as blue if that's what you needed and line is as fine as the stylus you use

I've been using it to trace onto paper and linoleum.I see no reason why it wouldn't work on canvas. By the way, it shipped very quickly.

Yes to tracing onto paper, Couldn't say about tracing onto canvas. I imagine it would. I used it to trace onto plywood.
