Uses ReliOn lancets.
If like me, you have a ton of ReliOn lancets from a previous lancing device, then you will be pleased to know they work very well in this device. When you get it, it is just in a plastic bag with no instructions. Had to look them up, but once seen it is a very simple device. Does a good job. I use my palms with the Freedom Lite and it did well.Great deal for $4.

Highly Recommended!
Needed another lancing device to replace lost one for Microlet Lancets that I have on hand. Went to CVS where they only had one for $11 that was supposed to take almost any manufacturers lancets. This was a piece of garbage. So went searching the internet to find that Bayer had sold out Microlet a few years ago. Amazon price for the Microlet Next was under $6 each, so I bought two of them. Was very pleased with this product. They are really engineered good. Easily removed the cap and inserted a lancet. First pop was a little light on 2 setting. Put on 3 and drew a sample. It worked! The Microlet Next is well worth purchasing.

It works well so far...
It's sort of meh... works fine for the price. I bought it because I accidentally bought the wrong lancets for my old meter and didn't want to return them. What has happened to the price of diabetes supplies and especially the meds!!! I have a One Touch meter that is getting older... must jump through Medicare hoops to replace it. The meters aren't so bad ($20-$30) but if you buy the One Touch supplies it's outrageous. Walgreen wanted $149 for 100 test strips and $50 for One Touch lancets. Fortunately I found perfectly good alternatives on Amazon.

Easy to use and a good price/value
Title says it all - this is an excellent lancing pen, period. The depth indexes lock firmly, it has a twist-lock so the lancet cover doesn't just fall off (a problem with other pens), and it's large enough for those of us with large hands. Very nice, so I bought 2.
