Game changer!
I have southern friend who makes peach preserves. I asked her if she had a trick for removing peach pits. I thought if anybody had a trick, it would be her. Well - she had no suggestions other than slice all the way around the peach and then twist each side in opposite directions. My experience is that this can be messy and doesn’t always work. HOLY COW! This gadget makes it so easy! I tried it on a small peach and a medium peach. It worked equally well. It adjusts to different sized pits by expanding. Occasionally, I needed to wiggle it a bit to ease around a pit to get it going. I quickly put together a lovely peach cobbler. Because the peaches don’t get torn up with the pit removal, the slices come out extra uniform. I haven’t told my friend about this find. She has no idea that such a gadget exists and will be surprised when it arrives at her door. I am looking forward to seeing what my peach expert thinks of this.

Works perfectly with apples and pears
I couldn't find on Amazon the Oxo apple corer so I got this instead, since a couple of reviews mentioned it works with apples too. And it sure does, you only need twist it once it's in and it gets the core right out easily. Quality is excellent like most Oxo products.

Efficient and Pits Cleanly with Minimal Waste
UPDATE: I used this to easily and quickly pit 9 peaches. This thing is awesome! It works very similar to the OXO apple corer. Definitely worth the money. We’ve only used this once so far and on only 4 peaches. However, based on that limited experience, this was a worthwhile purchase. My elderly mother used it and found it to be easy to use, both ergonomically and in learning how to use it. I didn’t get pics of the peaches she did, but they came out a lot cleaner than when she would just use a knife. It didn’t look like there was a lot of waste. She thought that this would be really useful if pitting very many peaches. She did say that she had to be careful of the sharp teath but didn’t manage to cut herself at all, which she’s been known to accidentally do with scissors in an office setting. Overall, I’d buy this again.

Great Tool If You Like Peaches
I love fresh peaches but hate seperating the peach from the pit. I received this item today and IT WORKS GREAT. I’m 75 years old and did not know this tool existed. I’m going to be eating a lot more peaches to be sure 😉

Great for processing quince
Quince are rock hard. They have a core that is best described as pebbly. You must core them thoroughly to keep this hard stony graininess out of your finished product. Coring the whole fruit does not work too well, but once the fruit is quartered, this tool does a great job. The rounded edges are good at navigating between the rough core and the flesh. This fruit is hard to work with, but produces products of such beautiful color, fragrance, and flavor that it is worth the trouble.

This is a must have
If you have peaches to can this is a must have. It is a great sturdy tool for the kitchen. I did not know they made such a thing but it works perfectly on big or small peaches. It sometimes leaves a lit red from the pits but for the most part it cleans the pits out real good. Soooooo easy and quick to use made my peach prep very quick.
