Accurate and easy to use
My husband works in Hvac and he has literally destroyed three of my expensive washing machines with the little screws that he uses at work. Even when I thought I’ve gotten them all out of his pants and pockets I always manage to miss Some. I purchased this to keep next to my washing machine so every time I wash his clothes I can check them before throwing them in. This little machine is going to save me thousands of dollars. It’s already saved my washing machine 3 times and I’ve only had it about 10 days... it’s very easy to use extremely accurate, and love that it uses a 9 V battery so it will last a long time.. amazingly even came with two replacements. Worth every penny.. Will definitely pay for itself..

Not water proof spoiled
It is not water proof , when I use in sea water spoils water went in to the battery compartment ?

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Purchased this device to use and it lasted a few minutes as I found the pointer had taken in water which caused it to stop working! Only works in dry environments. DO NOT USE IN WATER. Was so disappointed!

Water seal failed on first use.. :-(
This unit worked great for training my children on how to use an underwater detector. Unfortunately it did allow water ingress into the battery compartment despite the knee high water. I dried the unit and attempted to reseal the gasket, but it still allowed further ingress.My $0.02 on this unit is that it is great while it is working. We loved it for the 20-30 minutes we used it. I do not blame the manufacture of the unit as this is likely just a case where the rubber seal on the screw in bottom had hardened in shipping or in the excessive heat. In other words, the after sales care of the unit resulted in a less than ideal initial quality.While not used in water, I still use the unit for detecting utility pipes and other metal objects. For that purpose it is perfect and precise. Next spring it is our intentions to purchase a second unit for the water.
