Lovely romance
Honestly I thought it was a mystery! For a romance it was pretty good. My younger sister would love it.

Almost Magical Words
If you have read any of the Stephanie Plumb books, you know how this author has a way of working the story into a landscape of great images. Also the author weaves humor into the story that will keep you laughing.

I enjoyed this book.
I have read most if not all of the Stephanie Plum books, this was a different kind by Janet Evanovich and I enjoyed this one too.

Typical Evanovich
Funny in places and romantic too. The characters are well developed. It was an easy read and enjoyable at the same time.

Fun Read
It is a fun but predictable story. Great romance story and consistent with her style. Not as funny as the Stephanie Plum novels.

Farfetched story line
Boy and girl meet when her car breaks down and he stops to help. He then lets himself into her house using keys he found while assisting her, and falls asleep in her bed while she is not home. Instead of calling police, he ends up renting a room in the basement of her home and within 11 days they are in love?! It was not a bad read, but a fairy tale.

Delightful!
Janet Evanovich is always a delightful read! "Hero at Large" is light & fun & a great fantasy with warm & likeable characters. It's a lovely respite from the real world we're currently living in. If you're looking for a way to escape from reality for a couple of hours, this book will definitely do the trick! You can never go wrong with a beautifully crafted novel by Janet Evanovich!

A very entertaining book!
Another very fun Evanovich book with wonderful characters, especially Aunt Edna! You'll laugh out loud and will hate it when the book ends.

Hero at Large
I didn't realise this was a reprint of an early story (circa 1987) by Janet Evanovich -it turned out to be a light-weight slushy Mills and Boon type of yarn, nothing like the funny, witty, sexy Plum books she created later with such class. Really don't recommend it if you have high expectations like I did, as a Plum fan.

A bit run of the mill
I'm hooked on the Stephanie Plum books which have great humour and are fast moving, but unfortunately I found this rather wishy washy. The biting humour was missing and it was very much a Mills & Boon type love story. Easy to read though but not in the same mould as the Plum books.

OK
As usual, JEs books are very readable, with characters you get to care about and a happy ending. Prefer Stephie Plum books though.
