Bought this as an affordable link between a Dual-PC Jplay setup for my computer audio front end. So Control-PC to Audio-PC. For those who don't know, Blue Jeans has these cables made in a proprietary pattern by Belden, the cable giant. This particular one has a fully braided shield running the length of the cable, but doesn't have it soldered/tied at both ends. Apparently the rational is that by not tying it the RFI and ground noise can't drain into the connected components/from one component to another, and should attentuate itself by running across the cable. The idea is up in the air, so it's your call which side you fall on, but that's the idea.Anyway, it's a big, thick, beefy CAT 6A cable, and it's stiff. It's not something I'd get for plugging and unplugging and moving around often, but it is something I'd get if you wanted the highest quality and weren't going to move anything much. It's ideal for my application and I can hear the difference already. Because we can all hear LAN cables.
