A necessary tool to help me put on my boots, works great except the ends are as would be after cutting a rod (sharp). These edges should have been ground to a bevel and/or had plastic caps put over them.

I have several pairs of shoestring tie up leather boots and loosening them enough to slide my foot in is difficult using this hook on the bootstrap makes all the difference in the world. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that I no longer have the balance or the strength to work a tight boot on. The hooks are good and strong. I have put a great deal of strength into pulling the boot on and the hook remains intact.

They seem sturdy. My only complaint is the steel could have been tapered and rounded. there are a lot of shoes and boots that have small pull tabs on the heel, you almost have to thread it through the pull before you put the shoe on the floor. Edit: I used one for a shoe, then, I used the other one for hiking boots. The metal hook pulled out from the handle on the first tug. It is not even a difficult boot to put on.

I have used things like these for over 60 years. I am a horse enthusiast, English saddle. I now use these to move my car seat up and back in a manual vehicle. Hook the bar that goes in front of the seat and move it forward and back. Perfect tool for the job if you are handicapped.
