Intriguing and Compelling
This is a good book to read in a regular basis not just a one time read. I shared a lot of quotes from this book with others and I found it to have a great balance of inspiration and practicality.

Seize the day!
I was inspired by this book immediately, right from its introduction titled "Living the dash." The authors use that phrase to refer to the dash between the birth and death dates on headstones. The dash represents a lifetime. What a person does during that dash, the authors point out, is completely in his or her hands. The authors challenge you -- literally -- to make the most of it, to open your eyes and live each day with enthusiasm and meaning. The first page has a contract to sign called "The One-Month-To-Live Challenge" which states "I commit with God's strength to live the next thirty days as if they are my last so I can experience life to the full!" There is a spot for your signature and a spot for a friend to sign as a witness. The rest of the book serves as a day-by-day manual for your monthlong conversion. There's a chapter for each day. Each one opens with two inspiring quotes (from people as varied as Helen Keller, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Maya Angelou) and includes questions to help you examine your life from a particular perspective. At the end of each chapter are three ways to act on the topic, for example making a list of five things you'd change about your life if you only had a month to live, or going outside and looking at the stars.Though "One Month to Live" is filled with Biblical verses and stories, its message, and approach, can easily work for those of any faith. Living life to the fullest: What a terrific goal! As George Eliot wrote, in a quote from chapter 8: "It is never too late to be what you might have been."Here is the book's table of contents:Day 1: Introduction -- Living the dashPrinciple 1: Live PassionatelyDay 2: Roller Coaster -- Riding the Big DipperDay 3: Time Squared -- Spending your most valuable resourceDay 4: Power Surge -- Connecting with the ultimate sourceDay 5: Oxygen Mask -- Breathing firstDay 6: Monkey Bars -- Risking greatnessDay 7: Dreamsicle -- Thawing out your frozen dreamsDay 8: Kick Start -- Living life full throttlePrinciple 2: Love CompletelyDay 9: Heart of the Matter -- Relating and not waitingDay 10: Ocean -- Exploring the depths of forgivenessDay 11: Everest -- Scaling the obstacles to unityDay 12: Boxing Ring -- Resolving conflicts by fighting fairDay 13: Sandpaper -- Smoothing the edgesDay 14: The Gift -- Thanking those around youDay 15: Last Call -- Revealing your heartPrinciple 3: Learn HumblyDay 16: Star Power -- Discovering who you were meant to beDay 17: GPS -- Finding your directionDay 18: Hurricane -- Withstanding the winds of changeDay 19: Metamorphosis -- Changing from the inside outDay 20: Earthquake -- Building a foundation that lastsDay 21: Mulligan -- Playing with integrityDay 22: Road Signs -- Experiencing a personal miraclePrinciple 4: Leave BoldlyDay 23: Sandcastles -- Creating a lasting legacyDay 24: Seeds -- Planting for the futureDay 25: Sticks and Stones -- Using eternal building materialsDay 26: Collisions -- Staying the course when your life crashesDay 27: Starfish -- Making a world of differenceDay 28: Footprint -- Leaving a lasting impressionDay 29: Game Over -- Dying to liveDay 30: Game On -- Living it up

It was an okay read
This was a boring read. My church and I read it for 30 days. It took me 35 days to read. We read a chapter a day. I though the chapters were too long. It wasn’t an easy read at all. I had to force myself to read it.It talks about how to live its leach day like it’s your last. Live passionately. If I were to read it again, I would read it 3 times a week. A chapter in 2 days.

This book changed my life.
This is a MUST read for anyone who wants to get their life in order and start living in the moment. I felt so encouraged after I would read a chapter I didn't want to put it down. There are so many thought provoking chapters and the book is full of quotes to ponder. I am going to start doing a Bible study with teen girls on this book. It's never too late to start living in the now. It's easy to read too. You read one chapter a day and enjoy every one. I can't say enough about how much this book changed my viewpoint. I am enjoying every day with my children and getting my priorites in order. Enjoy!!!

One month to live
I've just started reading the book, but at the Presbyterian Church where I go, our Reverend gave a lecture about the book. I could have an idea about how important the book is. Having or not 30 days to live (only God knows), the book is the kind of material you MUST read. One of the first great ideas is the "Someday Syndrome" - people who always postpone things in life, saying: someday, one day, when I retire, when my kids grow up...etc This is the moment to live, this is the time to turn to God, repent and change your life...right now. Will there be tomorrow for me or for you? Only God knows! Read it! I've enjoyed it a lot!Adriana CunhaSão Paulo/Brazil

Clear and Purposeful
This audio book was clearly read and was easy to understand for the average person on the go. The book was not read in a monotone voice and there is some background to keep your attention. The contents of the audio book are clearly divided by "days" (30 days). The print version has about 3-5 pages per "day" chapter. One Month to Live helps us to consider living a life of passion and purpose now, instead of having 'someday' syndrome. Someday I will do this or that. The spiritual aspect of the book affirms that we have permission from God to live a full and abundant life now!
