Trumpeter Transformers: Blitzwing Plastic Model Kit

I picked up the kit because I was interested in this prepainted kit with snap out pieces. It was easy to assemble and looks good but compared to other model robots like gundams, it is extremely small.

This goes together very easy. If your familiar with Bandai gundam kits then this will be familiar teritory. The pre-painted finish is outstanding, I only wish it came with a set of decals for those wanting to repaint themselves.

buying it as new was definitely worth it, not only did i actually get the head, but the build was a lot of fun and quite simple. although hes still pretty small, hes very posable and quite solid. overall a much better experience this time. 👍

It says you don't need nippers but the parts aren't easy to pop or twist off, so you might need them or a small knife for tricky parts. The most confusing is that this kit comes with extra parts, not spair or useable parts, just parts; like that mold of parts works for other models, I completely understand the stand parts coming with an Autobot and Decepticon logo piece. What I don't understand is getting parts: B7, B8, B9, & C 7. Those 4 parts aren't used in the model and there's no listed use for them as far as I know.For positives. The manual does give you a color guide for Mr. Color paint colors in case the paint color gets chipped in assembly or the colors get dulled over time. It's pretty solid for a model that doesn't need glue. This boy is sharp! Great detail, his finger tips are sharp, his wings are pointed at areas; wouldn't recommend this for a kid because I thought this model will draw blood if I wasn't careful during assembly.The finished model is small. About Core Class size. Around 4.5 - 5 inches tall when completed. Which means he will look tiny (great detailed but tiny) compared to a Furai model.

This kit is an impressive piece of work given the design, it's simple enough to be put together by those with minimal experience. However for the price it is small, about as tall as a current Deluxe on it's stand, but that is compensated with that it is almost completely pre-painted out of the box which adds something. One word of caution, do NOT follow the instructions for the legs as you can easily snap the ankle when trying to connect it. Built it backwards starting with the feet, connect the socket then build the rest of the leg.

It’s a good kit for the price and easy to build my only complaint with this kit is the small piece that connects the legs to the rest of the body is terrible the connection is not tight enough so if you move it too much the leg will fall right off the body the bumblebee kit did not have this problem kind of disappointed that I’ll probably have to glue it.

Its very tiny. Looks great , but unfortunately some of the plastic is fragile. And you have to be careful when assembling it or it will break.
