I am in love with this story - just brilliant
I didn’t think it could get any better than book 1 but I was so wrong. This is an amazing story, more enthralling than the first book. And now that I have read all of the 8 books, I can say that this is my absolute favourite of the series. Followed by book 3 (Benedict). This is wonderfully romantic, sensual and passionate. I fell in love with Anthony in the first book. He’s such a caring and loving brother but also a wicked rake. And I so love a reformed rake who finds his soulmate and love of his life.Anthony has a fear of bees after his father died of an allergic reaction to a bee sting. Anthony believes the same fate awaits him and he will die young. Therefore he doesn’t want to marry for love. He’s chosen his ideal bride Edwina, a woman he is sure he will never love. However, Edwina’s sister Kate is adamant to prevent this union. Kate and Anthony spend a lot of time together at a house party and play the famous Bridgerton Pall Mall match. They realise that they actually like each other and Kate is falling in love with Anthony but she is willing to step aside for her sister. But a compromising situation forces their hands. Anthony is reluctant to accept his love for Kate and almost loses her. Kate helps him overcome his fear and they find their happiness in the end. It’s beautifully written with witty dialogues, charming characters, a naughty dog and a lot of sensuality, passion and romance. You won’t be able to put the book down. It’s a must read. I just hope that Netflix will do justice to Anthony’s wonderful story.

Great Read
The second installment brings such fun and some real laugh out loud moments. Very different from the Netflix series it still hits the spot for any romcom fans. My only issue is, this is the second book Quinn seems to have no real understanding on consent which could be triggering for some. Other than than it was a great read

Utterly Fabulous, you won't regret it
Anthony, Viscount Bridgerton is a Rake (to paraphrase Lady Whistledown, a Rake is dangerous to women, while a rake merely thinks he is), but after ten years of pleasurable pursuits he's decided it's time to get married. Time he found a wife, settled down and sired an heir. He's not asking for much - a little beauty and intelligence is all he needs. Oh, and he mustn't fall in love with her.Edwina Sheffield fits his criteria to perfection; she's beautiful, smart and sweet, and absolutely no risk to his heart. His blood pressure, however, is a different matter, for the way to Edwina's hand lies through the approval of her sister. And Kate Sheffield is not impressed. It's soon obvious that this pair have two vital things in common - fierce devotion to their families, and a severely adverse reaction to each other. But several farcical situations push them closer together, until the intervention of a tiny bee leads to a compromising situation and a gossip's dream. For Anthony it's only a minor setback because he's a sensible, rational man who won't fall in love if he won't allow himself to. Yes, it's truly that simple. Easy, really. Anthony's certain he need never fear falling in love, ever. This, the second of the 'Bridgerton' novels, is utterly fabulous, packed full of laugh-out loud moments, and one or two worthy of a cringe, but always intensely enjoyable. Anthony's obsession with his father's death and his need to marry without love collides spectualarly with Kate's obsession that Edwina will never, ever marry him. The fierce, overprotective elder brother from 'The Duke and I' truly meets his match in the independent, forthright and fiendishly intelligent Kate. They are clearly far too similar to ever reach an agreement over Edwina. But over each other...This book is filled with sublime moments of ridiculousness that can't help but leave Anthony's dignity in tatters, whether it be at the paws of an overly friendly corgi, or an innocent family game of Pall Mall - at times he could be forgiven for believeing that Kate is out to ruin his life. To make matters worse (for him, so much better for us) his brother, Colin, is often on hand to stir things up.Anyone with siblings will certainly understand and sympathise, and it is impossible not to fall in love with these two, even if they do their damnedest not to fall for each other. One of my favourite 'Bridgertons' it's a keeper on any shelf. Oh, and while you're at it, get hold of the Second Epilogue e-book for the return of Pall Mall and the 'Mallet of Death'. I laughed so hard it hurt, although there's a spoiler in it for 'Romancing Mr. Bridgerton'.As for this book, well, in the same way as everything else JQ does, you really won't regret reading this.

Historic Rom Com
I just LOVED this book! I actually think I liked it more than the first. Which is really saying something as I, like a lot of people, was obsessed with the Duke of Hastings. This story follows Anthony Bridgerton and his search for a wife. The most important thing to Anthony is to chose a wife he won't fall in love with as he is afraid that he, like his father, will die young.I loved the protagonist in this book. She is such a strong female character. She is nothing like all the perfect women groomed for dances, securing a husband and marriage. She is a well read, quick witted, sharp tongued woman with two left feet and an inability to keep her opinion to herself. Kate says what she shouldn't and doesn't always behave "as a lady should".This book is like a historical romantic comedy. It is an enchanting, sexy, refreshing story full of attraction, charm and great characters. We do see some characters from the first book, mostly the Bridgertons and the Featheringtons, and there are some brilliantly funny appearances of the Duke and Dutchess of Hastings.I don't want to say too much as I don't want to spoil it! I was rooting some characters the whole way. I didn't know which direction the book would actually take and I was worried I wouldn't get the ending I wanted 😂⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 starsI was trying to be more objective and give a slightly lesser star rating and base it on lots of criteria but honestly I just loved this book so much and I just can't give it less than 5 stars.
