Corelle Vive 16 Piece Glass Kalypso Dinnerware Set, White

First order was the wrong item and they were broken; they were shipped in a box with no padding, like you get from a store. Not designed for mail order, UPS type of shipping. Cut my hand on the broken dishes when opened, plus they were the wrong pattern--a square dish white dish with black circles. A hassle to reseal and a hassle to take to a UPS store.The second order came in an inner box with some padding and they were the right pattern. The color is not as red as pictured, more orange, but we still like them. All in all, it was not worth the hassle of receiving the wrong dish pattern, broken dishes, cut fingers and reshipping.

I have always preferred stoneware and took a chance on this Corelle set. I originally just wanted the salad/ luncheon size plates as I was short salad plates. Took a chance on the 16 piece set. Now I prefer it to my old stoneware. I am considering purchasing a second set in the same pattern and donating my old stoneware. They take up less stacking space and are suitable for everyday use. I really like the simple but “ happy” pattern, green trimmed cereal bowls and green coffee cups.

When I ordered these I read the reviews of people saying they looked faded out and not as vibrant as the picture. I did an image search on Google to see these plates when someone took a picture other than one set up in a studio or for advertising them so I knew what to expect. They are more of a watercolor look than the image shows but I still like them a lot. I included pics so others could see. I was looking for some lightweight dishes that had a whimsical yet clean and fun look to them. These fit the bill perfectly.

While you can't really go wrong with Corelle, I gave this a 4 star because in the picture it shows a vibrant red...this is more of a pale red orange. I was disappointed but kept them rather than return. Hopefully if I order another set it matches up as I don't know if the picture is misleading or I got a defective set. I ordered the Kalypso pattern.

I bought these for my elderly mother because she shattered her wrist and is unable to carry anything heavy. These dishes are light enough for her and do the job; however, the colors on the images are NOT bright at all. Imagine anything bright in general and then imagine it 25-30 years later. I was very disappointed with the colors of the pattern. Wish I had went with a more basic design instead.

These are nice. The cups are big and heavy. As long as that is OK with you, then the set if fine. Get enough of them. Each box only serves 4. We bought 3 sets to have service for 12. We have to stack those big old cups to get them into the cabinet.

I love this plats! we are using them for a year now and my kids dropped them on the floor a few times and nothing happened. and because they are lightweight, it's easy for the kids to set the table and clean up

The colored image on the plates is not quite as vibrant as shown on the website, but I still like the pattern. The colors are more muted. I do love the mugs - somewhat larger than older versions of Corelle.

The dinner plates and side plates are excellent and just what I wanted. The bowls do not fit easily into the dishwasher and I end up doing them by hand. (Their sides are so steep.)The mugs are terribly thick and large and I don't use them. My husband uses them as he likes a large mug and of course I bought the set for the plates and not for the mugs.

Lovely pattern and durable as always.
