This cover helped with splatter when frying food in my iron skillet.Loved the color!

It is not perfect but it works. I am glad I got this product. The stove and everything around it looks so much cleaner after cooking. I hand wash it. Not sure about durability yet.

Our kitchen has a cooktop without a backsplash andvany frying/cooking splatter goes onto the tile floor creating a huge safety issue not to mention cooktop, counter and tile floor cleanup.This cover solves all those issues and having hole in the middle to add ingredients and stir takes some practice BUT after a couple of uses (and I cook from a wheelchair so standing wouldn't present a problem) eliminates all that cleanup which my caregiver is thrilled about.

I needed a cover for my fry pan. the splash Guard fits but is too bulky. the opening in the center makes it awkward to turn food. it does prevent splatter.

Simple to store (handle folds up) and fits over my largest skillet. Keeps grease splatter contained. Made of silicone so it won't melt

The splatter guards made from window screen don't block grease splatter even when they're in place. And even if they did, sooner or later you have to lift the screen to stir, flip or remove food. The solid metal ones with holes punched work until you lift them which is often since you can't see the the food (smart idea, guys!)This guard splits the difference. The opening isn't large enough to see the edges of the pan, but It's big enough to see the center, while blocking almost all the splatter. So it's perfect for stirring stuff, but the view isn't great for spotting things that need to be grabbed and flipped. You're geting a workable splatter guard but with tunnel vision.By the way, there is a way to solve all the problems. The old Cuisinart splatter covers had holes near the edges that were baffled so steam could escape but not grease, and in the center there was a glass dome. Even had a small funnel with a lid for adding ingredients or to let extra steam escape. But they stopped making them.

I got a new stove, one of those with the glass top. Cleaning is constant and tedious. There is no perfect spatter cover, but this is the closest I can find. Love it. Lot less cleaning to do on that stove!
