BIC continues to provide quality products at affordable prices. These are particularly great pencils because of the grip which makes it easier to complete assignments with ease.

I was originally searching for erasers for the other BIC pencils I use at work - auditor/accountant - and when I discovered they did not sell the erasers separately I noticed these. I have not had a side click mechanical pencil in years and much prefer them so that when I erase I don't inadvertently advance the lead or let the lead fall back into the pencil - only happens occasionally. I received a package of extra lead, 5 new erasers, and 4 pencils. I like that I received 4 colors, so I have loaded the blue with blue pencil lead, the red with red pencil lead and the green with green pencil lead so I can color-code my work. I ordered these late Friday and received them on Sunday at 734 am!

There's much to like about these pencils. I like the side click and the overall appearance. They are comfortable to hold. The lead is strong and does not break easily. I particularly like the eraser, which is soft and non-smearing. That the pencils come with extra erasers and lead is a bonus. The only thing I don't like is the level of hardness in the lead, which for me is too soft. It's bold and easy to read but it's thick and messy looking.

Vibrant and gorgeous colors (I love colors). It’s very smooth and the side click is also very smooth. The grip is kind of silicone feel and gives much comfort. The body is transparent and hence we can see if the lead is running out and if needs a refill. I didn’t notice that the refill tube contains lead AND eraser refills which was a great surprise. I always run out of erasers on mechanical pencils quick and had to run around to find refill that fit. So a big thank you to BIC. It’s 0.7mm and I do prefer it over .5 (too narrow) and .9 (too wide). Hope the durability is good; will come back and update my review if any issues. Overall I do recommend it.

My son loves the old design of these pencils, but they are discontinued (he is very picky about his mechanical pencils!). These were the closest ones I could find and according to my son, they are just as great. They are comfortable to hold for both homework or drawing, they hold ample amount of led, and erase well. We keep these in stock in our "junk drawer" as our go-to.

Bought for my son who is a Junior in HS. He is very picky about his lead pencils. He really likes these. This was the first time I've purchased them, but will buy these again. Strong lead and variety of colors.

They came with extra lead and erasers. Feels good in your hand and you can press down hard without the lead breaking, which is usually a problem with me. Nice bold line. The lead advancer is on the side where your fingers hold the pencil, so convenient to advance when needed. Only thing is it seems like it goes through lead pretty quickly. Would definitely buy again.
