Great strings. Designedby a Weisenborn player just for this style of Hawaiian steel. These strings have so much soul I actually cry when I slow down and play sweet!

Beware: these strings are *far* too heavy to use on any standard construction weissenborn in the typical open d tunings. My gold tone has been significantly damaged and now requires luthier services due to these lifting the bridge and belly of my instrument.

I really wanted to use these because I use this brand on my square neck dobro and love them. But these are too high tension for my Gold Tone Weissenborn. Gold Tone warns that too high a tension can warp or break the hollow neck and these total out over that limit.

Not sure if this is an isolated case of poor quality control, or defective material, but started putting these new strings on my weissenborn, and didnt even get the .060 string to pitch and the ball end popped off making the whole set useless.

The strings are fantastic and the service is guaranteed to bring me back!!!
