These are really handy little items for very compact projects that require 3 or more volts, but with very tight size restrictions. The tiny little switch is also very convenient, as I can turn the power OFF while installing or working on the project, preventing accidental short-circuits, and draining the battery dead.

fantastic. used this on my welding helmet that had the battery directly soldered to the system. now i can shut it off when im not welding, and when the battery goes bad, its easy to change. didnt know they made this thing. guess you can buy anything if you search hard enough

Have an old Ensoniq sound module that requires the button battery to be changed every so often. This makes it so much easier than de-soldering a battery.

Used two of these to replace the dead batteries in a welding helmet. The clips hold the batteries secure. Bit hard to open though to replace the batteries, ended up using a bent pick to gently pop the latch tabs to get them open once I had affixed them to the inside of my helmet.

These are great. Barely larger than the battery, and the strategically placed switch makes it perfect to mount on a surface with double-stick or hook-and-loop dots. About the only negative which for some would be a positive, is that they securely close and in order to open them to replace the battery, you need to hold it in your hand to get a thumbnail under the catch. This prevents permanent mounting so as long as you leave enough lead to remove the housing to manipulate it when it is time to change the battery, this is just the ticket.
