Awesome laminator!!!
While I already had an older laminator (different brand) it was not doing well with ThermoWeb foils. So based on some recommendations I decided to pop for the this unit and so glad I did! Very easy to use, have not had any problems with it. And so far it’s working great with my foils!!! ❤️

Works as expected, great value
I don’t like that this laminator doesn’t have a loading tray, but it works great for my classroom needs. Just a heads up to anyone who is used to Scotch - these are front-loading! I definitely did not look at the manual and spent 5 minutes trying to feed my sheet into the back. Oops!I’ve only used it for heat laminating, but I see that it also has the ability to cold laminate.I’ve only had one jam so far, but as soon as I noticed I powered off the machine and was able to wriggle it out with some serious tugging. At least I didn’t have to open it!

Great way to create foiled paper products!
I tried foiling with my Cricut which was really frustrating and then found someone who recommended this machine for foiling - game changer. It is so easy to use with a laser printer and foil sheets.

Works perfectly, but there are a lot of factors to consider
We bought this laminator to add gold foiling to our wedding invitations. The Minc seemed the most popular machine but it was also the most expensive, and even then some of reviews had unsuccessful foiling. It seemed that many people had a difficult time with the quality of the foil transfer (splotchy transfer, fall out, etc). After researching for a few days we determined that the laminator and printer doesn’t really matter because the variable was dependent on the DPI of the original print. We got this laminator and a Brother HL-L2350 laser printer from Microcenter ($99).I made a testing graphic on cardstock, in Photoshop at 300 DPI. I had planned to make a few test prints in case I needed to adjust the DPI or run it through the lamintor a few times. I used a sheet of folded typing paper and sandwiched the test graphic and foil in between. The picture uploaded is the first try, ran through the laminator only once. The result is perfect and we can’t wait to start printing our invitations. So for the DIY’ers looking into foiling, make sure your graphics program is set to print at high DPI (low DPI will not pump enough toner onto the page which will result in blotchy transfer).

Works for foiling
I did purchase this laminator to use for hot foiling homemade greeting cards. So far it works great. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, I think part of the equation as to whether or not the foil sticks to the paper using transfer gel first, is the way that the transfer gel itself is done. I did have some results with the foil looking uneven but I don't think it was the laminator. I think I had to learn which technique works best for the best presentation to have the designs even and clean looking. I also didn't know when I started card making was that you can print out any text writing or graphic design on card stock. If you run it through the laminator with a piece of hot foil on top of the design, the foil will stick to the toner that is printed on the paper. It's a cheap way to make patterns and different designs on your cards without needing stencils and transfer gel. I can't speak for actual laminating items. That's not what I bought it for. But so far I'm very happy with it and you can't beat the price for $18.

Highly recommend!
I needed to laminate and test some gold foiling - this certainly does the job! This is a great find for the price. I would highly recommend this to crafters who are just starting and are looking for some budget-friendly tools.

Great for foiling!
I have only used this laminating machine for foiling where it does an amazing job. It heats up quickly and foils beautifully. I have foiled tiny fussy intricate designs as well as broader designs and it does an outstanding job. It even does a great job when I have masked areas. Great value. Love it!

Stopped working after a few days, seller + manufacturer unwilling to help
Well, we started off great. It worked well, although it was a little warmer than I'm used to for laminators it was fine, didn't make the plastic warp. Then after just a few uses, it started making a "funny noise" and wouldn't catch the sheets. I opened it, tried to determine and reached out to seller and manufacturer. BOTH told me there was nothing they would do as it was "past the time." It's disappointing for a manufacturer to not make it right. Now I'm out money and a laminator and frustrated with bad customer service. I do not recommend as you're taking a risk of losing your money.

Good value for the money
This works really well for my foiling needs! I usually have to let it warm up long than the 3-5 minutes suggested and to run the foils twice so that I get the perfect foiling. It works really well that way.

Receiving USA 2 pin plug, not UK 3 pin plug
I received laminating machine with 2 pin plug! I live in UK with 3 pin plug. That should not send to UK with USA 2 pin plug. Description does not mention pin plug. For UK residents, I advise you not order this with 2 pin plug.Really disappointed!

Great Laminator!
I really like this laminator. It works well and is easily transported, if needed. It does not have a switch to indicate what kind size of pouch you’re using (3mm or 5mm). But it doesn’t seem to matter. It works well with either type of pouch. Very quiet and takes approximately 2-3 min to warm up to be ready to use. Great value machine for the money! Highly recommended.
